This thread is for the continuation of this game due to the original spanning over 4600 pages. Our rules have changed a bit since the thread first started, but its first post shall be sufficient for those purposes. We are currently level 12 and are a Good party. The Alignment is not subject to question. If you are a new player interested in joining, the GM at this point in time is DBLACKSTAR (Dibs).
Eh what the hell, I'll join this game. I feel so lonely. What's the level and alignment, and what class do we need?
Lol, well this is unexpected. But we are first level, a flexible chaotic neutral, and we need nothing but could use another healer or another wall or another stealth guy, in that order. I would recommend scout for the stealth.
Drag, let me look at our past here, and why raising a shield at a sound is justified: The past 3 sounds in a dark/empty environment our characters have heard have promptly lead to both of us A. getting ***** by a skeletal wolf, B. fighting a freak wolf-hyena thing, C. finding a giant-*** poison spider. Your character also threatened us for defensively reacting to a sound, in the dark, halfway down the tunnel of a recently abandoned cave in which we've seen signs of combat and blood. Should we be suspicious? I would think so. Maybe you come from fairly land, but my character is a rogue from the city streets, and he understands that PEOPLE KILL OTHER PEOPLE.
Hyper, if nobody here is willing to realize that raising a shield unprovoked and refusing to lower it is an aggressive act, you can play a Ranger.....
Yes that is aggressive if they raise it with no provocation such as someone sneaking up on them when they are searching a mine, where an apparent slaughter took place, for someone poisoning a village. And yes if they refuse to lower it when you ask nicely, not shout out a threat, then it is aggressive.

Raising a shield is not an aggressive act. It implies an expectation of violence and as such would be unhelpful in a tense situation, but it's not aggressive. Think of it as like building SAM missiles.

****, ya'll are already full up. D: These new players are coming out of the woodwork.

Nah, shield is never aggressive unless shieldbashing occurs. xD
Unprovoked? Drag, if you're a bounty hunter, you've heard about the poisoning, if you're a ranger, you've seen the signs of combat and the blood stains. And YOU yelled at US with a threat. If someone walked up to you in a dark alley, and yelled in your face not to be defensive, would you brighten up and have a cheery conversation with them?

Woot.

I know right, it this is seriously surprising to me.

Dragon, NOONE ELSE AGREES WITH YOU. I don't know about you, but when I'm outnumbered by people who have valid arguments, even if I still disagree, I concede the point.

True, but some people still fight.
My character ****ing lives in town..... her parents and brother are lying in there beds dying and she can't do **** about it.....
So she should be more understanding of the only people trying to help them.
Hyper, do you not know the whole point of Desert Storm?
Wow, so you are the most civil with Hyper, but even against her you still fight it.
Seriously, ****ing stop it or I will quit.....
That can go both ways.
What class do ya'll think would be helpful?
I told you, clerics, wall of meat, stealth, and buffer mage in that order.
