Dedicated servers are run by whatever random person hosts them, not Valve.
You cant host dedicated servers on the PC unless it is a local connection or you have approved it with your isp. On xbox live and psn I can understand where your coming from. But on the PC people buy servers from companies that host them like airspace for radio. and they run the server pretty much all day long.
On dedicated servers your internet service provider can open a port for you. This way you can host games, that aren't lan games.
Really? it's bad for PS3? **** that sucks... how out of date is it?
Valve can't do the same things for console games. In TF2 there is now trading, crafting, clothing items, new weapons, hats new maps, holiday specific content etc. Yeah you really are missing out. I suggest getting a computer that can easily run TF2 and get a logitech gaming controller that looks like a Ps controller. This way the jump from console to PC is not such a huge leap. Also yeah TF2 is free on Steam so you wont have to worry about an extra expense there.

They've never added a single weapon, map, gamemode, ect. Long story short, EA made TF2 for the PS3, not Valve. Valve has literally nothing to do with production for the PS3 version so nothing they do get added.
I like the "Meet the __" videos. They never get old.

Thats why you play the PC with new weapons and maps and etc. Just plain awesome
