If a post or comment is found to break the rules in some way, a mod or admin can delete it. If a comment is made on a profile, the owner of the profile can also delete the comment. Also, the ability to edit posts and comments is already being discussed as an AG3 idea.

Also, when you report someone flaming you on your profile, I think it is logical to not delete the flaming post. That way the moderators have proof.
