Hi again everyone. THIS IS NOT THE STANDARD KINDA THREAD. I AM NOT ASKING WHY I HAVE GONE DOWN IN AP BECAUSE I HAVEN'T. I AM ASKING ABOUT SOMETHING THAT I AM PRETTY SURE HAS NOT BEEN CLARIFIED YET.

If say, you put some comments on someone wall right. You get the AP and everything. Then, that someone changed their password. Do you then lose your AP that you got from the comments you put on their wall?

thanks guys.

Why would you even lose points when the password changes? The account is still there, and the posts haven't been touched.

Well, ya see It happened to my friend. He is someone i know very well in real life. He never goes against the rules of getting AP and he went down by about 10 AP. I had changed my password. He had left about 5 comments on my profile at the time.

just a reminder to everyone reading this, you get 2 AP for every comment)

There's no correlation between the two, and your friend probably lost his through removal of game comments, or forum posts. If changing passwords resulted in loss of AP due to profile comments, dozens of users would be banging on my door since I changed mine last month. And I have 40 pages of comments. So yeah.

Except he didn't write the entire post in caps. He wrote something he thought would be important to remember, which would be deemed alright by most, if not all, moderators. Had it been bold or italics, it would still have been okay. Had he written the entire OP in caps, or had the caps extended to the actual point of the thread, he would probably have been a bit more likely to be scolded for excessive use of caps than when he, well, isn't excessively using caps...
Something that is however concerning is your minimodmode...

As has been pointed out, it is most likely a coincidence. Considering how updating your profile tends to somehow hard refresh everything, it might have forced the retraction of the points, but it seems somewhat unlikely.
I would recommend that your buddy, should he be concerned about it (to know what he might have done wrong?), should go ask a moderator about it. Otherwise, there is not much else to this story besides, well... People continuing to reply to something that has already been answered without saying anything new.
As is "tradition", I guess.

Something else for clarification:
You make a post or a comment a place where such would count.
You gain points that will be directly connected to said post or comment.
If the post or comment gets deleted, the points directly related to said post or comment will be removed.
That is how stuff works, and has been working since forever, so losing AP without the posts or comments being deleted would mean that something horrible had gone entirely wrong somewhere in the coding/server, to the point where it might cause a crash of the site (seeing this has not been touched for more than half a year, so a glitch now would probably mean the coding has been corrupted)...
Most, if not all, of the temporary glitches has been around since... Since before I even signed up and hasn't been fixed for just as long, so a new radical glitch like that would be highly unusual and, as mentioned, probably counting down to crap going down.
Like the end of the world, or the hedgehogs escaping or something similar.
