Basically a dotA clone. It is insanely popular but personally I find it terrrible.

Or you know. . . DotA evolved into its own Sub-genre of MOBA style games and both HoN and LoL are expansions of it.

You can hardly classify it as a clone when you consider that it was a mod in itself.

It is insanely popular but personally I find it terrrible.

How much you contribute by stating a fact, followed by your opinion with nothing to support it (in terms of logic and reason)?

The main issue I have with it is Critical Strike Chance. Really now -- it can make or break a 5v5 you have against the enemy team. It can define whether or not they grab the early kill on one of your teammates -- even the first kill, which is a guaranteed 400 gold, that is quite significant. It's much less likely in the early game as you cannot afford items that grant huge amounts of Critical Strike Chance such as the Phantom Dancer but as a game striving for a strong professional scene I'm disappointed to see that they don't recognise just how harmful Crit Chance is to competition -- something that is focused on "Skill", not "Chance".

My main issue beyond that is quite simply how drastically they change the game and how often -- new Champion, other Champion and Item Changes on a massive scale. The paradigm has always remained very familiar but the Compositions shift so rapidly, and no properly established Metagame has been current in League of Legends, as strategies were not allowed to grow and expand as they would be ruled out or overtaken by others due to the patch 2 weeks after.

I was on of the first batch of Beta testers around 3 years ago. Or was it 2? Can't really remember. I remembered it was addicting, such that I spent hours rushing through everyday. Most unhappy I couldn't get my key because they didn't give them out to my country.

Either way, I really liked playing that Egyptian Anubis like character. What's his name again?

Anyways, I love this game, but I pretty much only play it with friends. I like how it is rather simple, thus allowing you to play well even if you're a casual player. My favourite champions are Teemo, Garen, Katarina and Shyvana.

I used to play League of Legends, but I have stopped due to the fact that it was boring since my friends were all high levels so they wanted nothing to do with me in real games, and I don't like how a short match is an hour long and the longest match I've been in was 3 hours long. The fact that they penilize you because your parents get angry at me for being on the computer 3 hours straight also made me quit LoL.
I used to use Warrik, Kog Maw, and Alistor.

it can be a good time consumer, there's no doubt :P but i must agree with Highfire, that's the reason I pretty much stopped playing because of. the changes God I hated them... like a new champion every week or something. but I guess some people might enjoy that :P its worth the try

A short match is 20 minutes to 30. . . the longest match I've endured was 73 minutes.

180 Minutes? That's terrible, and I can't imagine how bad you must've been. . . no offence but there is no excuse for a three hour game. Usually a team will start coming out on top by 35 minutes at least, but going further ahead with that the differences can phase if it was purely 20% (one person of your team) carrying you and the others catch up because they're all more of average skill.

Three hours? Either you guys taddle-toed against each other and none of you got a moderate engagement, or you engaged and didn't push afterwards, I mean really.

Sorry if that comes off bad but an hour long SHORT game is preposterous, 3 hour long game maximum is ludicrous.

I guess you could say the same about my 4 hour long games against my dad on Age of Empires II xD

Can't really say much about you being justified in that area, I'm afraid. If you know you have the time then play, but if they didn't punish a guy who would have pretty much ruined the fun for 9 others, for what? At least 15 minutes if they left straight away (or wasting the previous hour).

A strange mix honestly. . . Although of my entire mix I want to end up doing this:
Jarvan IV / Mordekaiser -- Solo Top
Morgana / Ryze (/ Malzahar) -- Mid
Warwick / Rammus -- Jungler
Janna / Soraka -- Support
Tryndamere / Master Yi -- AD Carry

The ones in bold include the ones I can already do, the ones in Italic are the ones I'm working on.

League of legend is a game, that is easy to learn, but hard to master.

I can almost play any champions, beside supports and junglers

Yea, to be honest, League of Legends to me is tough to master, once you learn how each Champ plays and what items they really need... although some habits do stick between me when it comes to DotA...
