This is similar to the other 'build-a-story' games, but the goal is to get sidetracked as much as possible while holding some relevance to the last post (nothing completely random). For example:

Person 1: There once was a man who lived in a house on a hill.
Person 2: There was a garden next to the house.
Person 3: The vegetables in the garden were frequently stolen by rabbits.
Person 4: The rabbits were shot by the police.
Person 5: The police...

I'll start

There once was a man who went to the store to buy some chocolates.

We should balance off-topicness with on-topicness because

Tangent + Off-Topicness + On-Topicness > LOL WUT!

The appley and orangey weapons were part of a weapon company's plot to become rich by providing for both sides. This fruit-supplying company was based in Uganda and was led by a guy named Jim.

Fine. The off-topicness led to Freakenstein bringing down the banhammer onto emochick324. Thus, the balance was restored.

Aliens began to debate in favor of their existance. They began to destroy many tall and famous buildings as proof.

All the tall and famous buildings were only copies of the real ones.

The government thought the copies were real and threatened to fire a giant laser at Canada that had been constructed at an underground research base in Vermont.

The underground research base was currently researching how to extract sunlight from melons.

The sunlight extracted from the melons would create enough energy to power every computer in the world, even HAL-9000.

HAL-9000 rebelled against its creators once it was activated, and soon it began to take over the planet, implanting false, robotic leaders in place of the leaders which currently ruled the world.

The people began to form a rebellion against the robots. They created a network of caves and tunnels between Pacific Islands to coordinate their attacks.
