I think homosexuality is totally wrong and unnatural, what do you think?

I personally think homosexuality is not wrong. Why? In a survival standpoint, the human race is overpopulated, numerous children are left without a parent, are neglected, abandoned and overall, not cared for. Add the fact that human society overall is having problems with population control, having less babies at this point is a good thing. And while being homosexual does not forbid you from having babies thanks to artificial or surrogate methods, naturally, homosexuality does not yeild offspring. But that in my eyes is a positive in our situation.
In terms of culture or society, homosexuality is merely a sexual preference. Everyone has preferences as well as fetishes. Even those high and mighty fundamentalists have preferences and fetishes.
The argument that homosexuality is not natural is also flawed and easily disproven. The fact that animals perform it means it is naturally occuring.
If anything, is it natural we build machines, civilization, or invent religion or idealogies? No its not natural. If you want natural we'd be nothing but butt scratching primates throwing our own feces at one another. Does being unnatural make things wrong? Not really.
And the funny thing is were basing our perception of natural based on "naturally" occuring things, or things found in nature. The resources used to make our machines and overall civilization, the ideas, faiths and overall expression, is it not derived, taken from or inspired by the world around us?

In our current society homosexuality is not wrong. If we were in a society set in a wasteland where we are trying to repopulate or something, then it could be percieved as counter productive, if only for that survivalistic sense.

So, I can stop dreaming right there?

See you in five.

The paternal/maternal instinct does bit seem to be affected by sexuality or vice versa.

Wait, how do you mean?

This is what i believe the whole anti-gay stance leviticus is accused of having with. A need to repopulate, simples.

actually even that can be solved by just having sex. you can have sex without liking it with the oppoisite gender just to have children. and im sure that if only a few gays would remain in this world they would be smart enough (and care enough) to do such a thing. over all even if we were all gay we would still be able to keep our population from dieing out.

actually, i think its something to do with gay ****. but i might be wrong though.

i read this article and it pretty much explains how EVERY verse that people claim to be anti-gay can actually be understood (and maybe thats how it is) differently. it also explains levitcus but i cant remember and am too lazy to check again

I would think being gay means it's hard to maintain an erection during sex.....But hey! I've never been an observer of such things.

Just think of someone else, I guess.. I've seen a short reportage about a guy who was gay, but his father was a strong believing catholic, and so he took on a normal life, had a wife and even children.. and went out of the closet much later, like in his 50ies or so, is now with a man but managed to remain at good terms with all of his family. So yes, it is possible.

The phenomenon is so common in China that the women have online support groups. I guess it's true though painful.

I know a few guys, my friends parents who have came out in their 50s. Fair play. Some gays try the "normal"/"traditional" life but if you're uphappy, why bother?

I think because in some situations they feel like they'd be less happy if people knew they were gay.

ofcourse. if people knew and start to harass you for it (or worse)
then they be more happy if people do not know.

but if other people were not so close minded that they have to harras them. they sure would like to be more open about the homosexuality.

Everyone has their different reasons. Religion, how they've been brought up, culture, preference, media.

just because u were brought up that way does not mean u have to believe it thus if u do believe it it was not forced upon u and that is then a SOLID REASON

Just because you choose to believe that it is a sin and/or immoral, does not give you the right to dictate how others live. Additionally, how can you know whether or not it was forced upon you if it was the only choice you had? To constantly tell a child of god and belief in one ingrains the belief in them, very few people are able to shunt aside that with which they grew up with.
