A bit of a forum game, but since it deals heavily with songs, I feel it should go here.

The rules are quite simple: Simply name the song that the above lyrics are from. Try and see if you can do it without using Google. :P

That being said, name this song:

I was there when the bear ate his head,
He thought it was a candy. (Everyone knows in the end)
Knock, knock, on the door.
Whose it for? Theres nobody in here. (Look in the mirror my friend)

Get Over It - Ok Go

I confess that I had to use Google, but I don't want this to die. I am ashamed. D:

With a thousand lies, and a good disguise,
Hit 'em right between the eyes, Hit 'em right between the eyes.
When you walk away, nothing more to say,
See the lightening in your eyes, see 'em running for their lives.

30 Seconds To Mars - Kings And Queens

I see no harm or danger in escaping
If the method suits the style
We put the mind on idle
And let the others take it for awhile

30 Seconds To Mars - Kings And Queens

Negetor, skeletor. It was 'You're Gonna Go Far, Kid' by The Offspring.

Curse that in-car radio song-recognition screen! Must have been a song or two behind when I looked at it. I had been hearing that song for so many years and I finally saw it on one of those in-car radio song-recognition screens (this was before I was in the habit of using Google) and since then I've been thinking that "Kings And Queens" was the name of that song!

Ah well. I've heard the song many times before and I recognized it right away when I saw those lyrics. Knowing the name is only half the battle...

I know the song that Ernie said!
On the Loose - Saga
Here's mine:
more productive
comfortable
not drinking too much
regular exercise at the gym (3 days a week)
getting on better with your associate employee contemporaries
at ease
eating well (no more microwave dinners and saturated fats)

Radiohead - Fitter Happier
OK Computer is one of my favorite albums.

So, something fairly easy:
Mama told me when I was young
"Come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what I say
And if you do this it will help you some sunny day"

Name this song:

You need danger just to feel your heartbeat.
You need to die just to find your identity.
You need a knife to know that you can bleed.
You need to feel pain just to feel anything!!!

Name this song:

You're supposed to guess the above person's song first, before posting lyrics of your own.

Lynyrd Skynrd - Simple Man Kind of Man

Not too sure about the song name, but I know which one you're talking about.

Sorrow drips into your heart, through a pinhole.
Just like a faucet that leaks, and there is comfort in the sound.
But while you debate, half empty or half full,
It slowly rises... Your love is gonna drown.

Good to see this thread had a good liftoff! Now let's keep it alive...

And funny how it already attrackts people that refuse to read the OP thouroughly... same as it was with the older thread way back when! LOL

So... I sifted through the other pages with lyrics and came up with only three out of all the suggested lyrics and songs, so I guess I'm a little out of it right now... =/

Anyway... this one... THIS one I know Mav! Yay for me!! =D
But I have to admit that it was only because I heard it on the radio yesterday... =/

Death Cab For Cutie - Marching Bands of Manhattan

So, it's my turn for the first time in this thread! Another yay! =D

Try these...

Now and then I think of when we were together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it's an ache I still remember

I've heard that song on the radio. I am pretty sure its: Gotye - Somebody that I used to know.

So, my lyrics are:
I see, the blood all over your hands
Does it make you feel, more like a man?
Was it all, just a part of your plan?
The pistols' shakin' in my hands
And all I hear is the sound!
I love you,
I hate you,
I can't live around you!

Correctomundo! =)

Allthough I'm a little stuck with your lyrics this time around goumas... when I read them they do ring a bell somewhere, very faint, very far away... and I can't put my finger on which song this is! Aaaarrghh...(o.O)

Hint? =P

Hint? =P

2002 alternative metal song. # 1 hit on the Modern Rock Tracks for one week in February 2003. One word title. One word band name.

More lyrics of that song:
I breathe you
I taste you
I can't live without you
I just can't take any more
This life of solitude
I guess that I'm out the door
and now I'm done with you

Sorry man... but I'm really stuck here, as in 'knee-deep in the mud' -stuck! (o.O)

Still rings a bell somewhere, but the harder I think about it, the more faint it becomes!
So I'm leaving this one for somebody else to crack, ok?
