I just ordered the dlc not to long ago and it should be here in a few days. Can anyone tell me what the three main clans are and what there bonuses are and which ones you think I should play as?

it looks freaking awesome, probably one of the most unique campaigns, the old warriors japan fighting the new army

6 new playable clans

Play as a clan supporting the Imperial throne, or the last Shogunate:

Shogunate clans: Aizu, Nagaoka, Jozai
Imperial clans: Choshu, Satsuma, Tosa

I agree it does look awesome. I cant wait until it arrives. It makes me wonder if creative assembly is pushing for a more modern game like ww1 or maybe modern warfare.

Thanks. That helps a lot. Also might you know what there bonuses are? I try going on the total war wiki but they haven't updated it yet.

I think it is one of the biggest expansions I'm going to buy (or bought). It is 25 gig and has a lot of new stuff like modern weaponry and 40 vs 40 battles.

I'm not sure, but other companies like Paradox already have such games.

What do you mean by the 40 vs 40 battles? I didn't catch that.

Well you could always had a certain amount of slots where you put soldier batalllions in. I believe 20. This is now upgraded to 20 battalions in battle and 20 extra for when the others die.

Oh That's awsome. However that is going to lead to some pretty long and bloody battles in the future. Which means I am more excited for it.

I know the port battles are crazy. I mean you can mount artillery on the ground now.
