This is just an example. If you aren't familiar with the band FUN, they made the song "We are Young" that is played a TON on the radio, BUT that really isn't even their best song. It's just the most mainstream, so that's what the radio stations play. Is there any way to fix this? For all bands?
the idea that a band shouldnt get "big" so that the indie community can enjoy it, is one of the most pretentious ideas ive ever heard. Hipsters are nothing but annoying ********.
I have followed fun. all throughout their career and ive always loved there music. i downloaded the "We are Young" single the day it came out. i also watch a lot of glee, so the second i found out that they were going to feature that song on glee, i freaked. because finally people would be able to hear this song on a MASSIVE scale.
Now they have finally broken out and are tearing the charts up.
I for one and glad that they are. if this is what the future of music is, then im looking foward to the future. this is the kind of music that the mainstream audience should be listening to. not rack city *****.
