I am sad that it after this many years, we have to resort to captchas to stop these adbots. However, I see no other way to fix this. I do however dislike the reCAPTCHA that Armor Games has implemented.

The reCAPTCHA can sometimes be hard to understand, so I recommend using a different captcha widget.

I recommend the one tinypic uses. Like this.

They are easier to read and just as effective. The people that made it have a page for putting it onto the website, and apparently they are can be customized. Link to page.

It doesn't work anyway, the forums are the same as before.

Correct, but more and more people are thinking that the adbots are this year's April Fools joke. I don't see why AG would use adbots as an April Fools joke though.

Neither do I. Last year (The cormyn thing) it tugged at our hearts, and was brilliantly designed. But this is just plain annoying. This is ruining our forum experience, not making it better.

I have a better idea!

No captcha at all. Just as effective, with less pain in the ***!

I just noticed there is a "are you a human" now. It would at least reduce spam and advertisements.

@dragonico
I've never encountered captchas before so I thought the first time I saw it it was an adbot, lol.

I came straight to this forum to find out what it is so I could actually submit a post since I lost the first comments I made earlier.
