Is anyone else excited for Borderlands 2 to come out. Borderlands just seems to be like my type of game. I love all the different characters and Humorous dialog.
I love the fact that the game never got old for me and had 4 DLC in case the original game got a little old.
I loved all the guns that Borderlands had and that every time you played the game you would have a different result.
I loved all the characters that Borderlands had.
I also love all the Hidden References and Easter Eggs.

So what did you like about Borderlands and what do you think about Number 2 coming out.

Maybe even share what character you like the most what your favorite gun type is and whatnot

I'm excited all right, it's a really great game, sometimes gave me the creepy jeepies, and sometimes the feeling of being a lunatic just shooting everything in sight. I don't know how, after so much frustration and thinking of rage quitting, i was able to kill The Destroyer (That's the name of the last boss right?).

Yes that is the last boss unless you have any addons for the game.

I didn't find the destroyer that hard to kill actually. I just went back and got more XP and leveled up if I had troubles.

I love borderlands, simply because there is such a high amount of weapons and varieties of challenges. The only other game I enjoy more then BL is MW3

I like how they have the same controls, makes it easy to switch back and forth. What is your favorite character. I like the Hunter because he is good with pistols and snipers and his bird (bloodwing) is amazing

I actually just finished (2 days ago) the first one with my brother :3

I'll only buy the second one if it actually turns out amazing. I didn't find the first one all that fun. Terrible balancing, uninteresting and repetitive environments, boring side quests, ect. The thing is that if i'll probably end up having to get 2 copies so me and my bro can play it together again (i really hate online with random people "i can't reach and slap across the face&quot. From what I've read, they've noticed all the key problems and are correcting them, but we'll see.

I actually thought the balancing was fine. It was meant for co-op so people were originally supposed to have different people with different guns. Although what you wrote was vague. The only things I noticed that really sucked and weren't balanced with other guns was
Rocket Launcher (always sucked)
Carnage Shotguns (always Sucked)
Repeater and Smg (never could do the same as a rifle)
Balanced Stuff
The enemies were always the same level. Everyone shared XP so everyone was the same level (co op)
Every gun could be found with higher damage and could be as good as any other gun. (even found snipers as fast as SMGs)
All guns could be evened out
Actually alot of stuff was fixed in DLCs.

As for your comment Uninteresting and repetitive enviroments
The game took place on a desert wasteland its as repetitive as fallout 3. It isn't supposed to have lush scenery. But if you get the Zombie thing it has more enviroments and the Armory also has new ones. I didn't think they were so bad.

Boring Side Quests.
I guess this is just my opinion but I found only a few that were boring and it was only because playthrough 2 makes you redo everything and certain ones were lame like buying a shield even though I already had one. But other than that almost every quest was entertaining.
I just don't think you know all the hidden references and awesome extras you can do. Also you probably picked a boring character to start off. Maybe if you get to know the same and actually play alone then you might find it more interesting.

My guess is you are playing on steam. I own a copy on steam and the Xbox. But I know both consoles and you only need one game if you play it on a console. It has split screen co-op unless you just don't like split screen. It doesn't bother me on a fairly large flat screen.

Me and my brother never found any part of the game mildly difficult. We were so over powered at the end that we beat the final boss in less than 30 seconds. All we did was complete side quests (every one in the game to be exact), we didn't grind.

The enemies were always the same level.

They don't have the same level as you. Each area has a certain level range enemies can spawn in.

They're all just "go here, collect something", "kill this many of this type of enemy", &quotress these three buttons".

I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say "extras", so name a few.

I play very few shooting games on consoles, and I don't have an adequate screen for playing split screen.

Is your game up to date? And the game will be easy if one of you knows what they are doing and just run around killing every thing. Single Player is a lot harder Because no one can revive you, every time you die your enemies get full health and its harder to find good guns. Also i thought the PC version seemed easier. I think it should have a difficulty that you can change.

Im talking about easter eggs and hidden references. If you actually look for that kind of stuff then it makes it funner. Instead of running through the game and not having fun.

You think you can afford two copies of Borderlands 2 but you can't afford a bigger screen?? I would work toward a new TV first before I got Borderlands 2.

Neither of us were experts at the game.

Single Player is a lot harder Because no one can revive you, every time you die your enemies get full health and its harder to find good guns.

I've also heard it's a lot less fun and defeats a lot of the purpose of the game, but i haven't tried it.

It did I think, we played on normal.

Beating every side quest isn't what I'd call rushing through the game. And can you please just name at least one thing you're talking about so i know what you mean?

I never said I could afford two copies of the game (I said if i get it, i would need 2 copies (one of which my brother would pay for)), but either way

2 copies of the game: 100-120$ (or less because I may wait for the price to drop)

A good TV: 400+$

I just wanted to make sure you know, me and my brother did have fun playing this game, and we're probably going to do the second playthrough. The thing is, we didn't need this game specially to have this fun, it was the same fun we would have playing other games. It was a decent game, but it's not going anywhere special in my heart.

I wouldn't have to agree I played the game on singleplayer first. And I thought it was very fun.

Ok the little barcode things you can scan will tell you things. Rakinshu and the Cracked Sash are off of Diablo. Mad Mel has to do with a Movie called Mad Max and Mel Gibson was one of the characters. I guess I just read up way too much on this stuff and look for things.

I am aware of that I was just saying to work towards that. Actually you know what forget that I said that.

I guess that its just me. But I thought that borderlands meant way more for me. It just called to me i don't know what it is. I guess there are people that like it and those that don't.
Also you might want to try some DLC for the game sometime. The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is alot harder and actually pretty fun. I don't know man its hard to explain. Maybe one day I will shw you some things on steam but I can't for a bit.

I'm not one to get these pop culture messages, but they shouldn't be considered any sort of defining feature in a game. Secrets are fun things to find out and get a quick laugh out of, but a game shouldn't say that one of it's most prominent features is easter eggs. I wouldn't think of a game with easter eggs any different than one without.

I have the money to buy a 400-500$ TV, I just don't want or need one.

I may try it after the second playthrough, but again, I don't want to put more money into a game I didn't love.

Everyone's hopping on the Zer0 bandwagon. I'm playing as Axton. He just seems well rounded. I played as Lilian for the first one, and she was super great.

It's hard not to. Axton looks to boring to me, simply because he appears to be the soldier. I think I'll play as Maya or Zer0. Berzerker is what I roled with last game, I got to level 60something, so I want to try something else, plus I feel like Maya and Zer0 are going to have the most new features available.
