Well you're both wrong. The Vancouver Canucks are going to take the Cup this year, and bring it back where it truly belongs, namely Canada. See the Canucks have essentially the same club from last year, except they've added a bit more hitting power and grit so they'll be able to take more of a beating.
Sure, Daniel Sedin is out, but the Canucks are versitile, their depth is perhaps unmatched in the entire NHL. They're not like the Penguins who rely heavily on Malkin and Crosby. One guy goes down, another steps in and does an equally good job. Besides, you still have Henrik out on the ice, and he's by far the more dangerous because he's a playmaker. He can get the puck where the guys need the ouck to be in order to score the goal.
As for goaltending, well... Luongo is still a bit of a question mark, since he hasn't be wholly reliable. However, Schneider had a fantastic season all things considered with 20 wins in 33 games.
