Stay home? I am sure the military would take care of it.

This thread doesn't belong here....

My reaction to the situation would all depend on the form the zombies took.

or just hid in a mall.

Unless you have several dozen fellows with you, that's a death wish.

Me? If I didn't have an immediate escape, I'd shoot myself.

Why? Its not like it is possible for the disease to become an epidemic.

There exists a disease that causes whoever is bitten to go insane and bite people, one bitten they will get the disease themselves. Even worse, it isn't only limited to humans, it can be gotten from animals like bats and other small animals everywhere. You know what we call it? Rabies. And rabies has not exactly taken over the whole world, and it is not even a real problem any more.

And how would it spread? It is not like a disease that must be transmitted by biting can travel miles from where it started, and a terrorist style bombing would not work either, considering how ineffective the anthrax attack was. If it somehow managed to spread the infection, it could hardly take over more than a few miles radius from where it started. It isn't like the zombies are going to wonder fifty miles to the next town, especially not once it is quarantined.

Then there is the fact at how easy they would be to kill. Think of them like swordsmen, exempt even slower. A modern military could easily defeat them from the other side of the city. In a worst-case scenario, we don't even have to be in a thousand miles of the city, we can just send predator drones in or missiles and have them dead in an instant. You remember how WWI had a whole lot of causalities? Think of it like a WWI battle, except with one side having modern weaponry and air support while the other side is using swords. Then back to the vehicles, a plane can fly far higher than any zombie could ever hope to reach and still put a bomb true a window, as well as being made of metal which is a lot stronger than human flesh, could easily take down a dozen per reload. And on the ground tanks are impenetrable to humans, it would be impossible to defeat a tank by just punching it, while the artillery could take out armies of zombies easily. Then there is the fact that they are essentially really stupid animals, with no strategy and no ability to learn, it is not exactly difficult to defeat them.

if a zombie epidemic suddenly sprung up, i will chop all surrounding trees and with them create a high and think barrier around my neighbourhood, secondly make a reinforced body armour (cod3 style juggernaut) then fortify some already sturdy jeep, and head out looking for guns/ammo, food, grains and maybe helping other peeps and strong holding it, until the apocalypse is over.

Have you ever cut down a tree?

While zombies are attacking?

Or tried to move a log?

with them create a high and think barrier around my neighbourhood,

Do you live in a forest? Because that's a LOT of wood.

secondly make a reinforced body armour

If Zombies existed and one of them is named Sonny, I'd get his autograph.

It would be much easier to make a fort that everyone could fit in, but either way you'd run out of resources.

That's because it naturally kills within days or even hours. If it lasted forever, well, it would be a problem.

I have no doubt that a small zombie attack would be squashed in hours. However, if hundreds of major cities in the country and around the world were hit with massive air-dispersal bioweapons, there wouldn't be much you could do short of just nuking everything and causing an internal nuclear apocalypse.

It's a good thing such an event is so massively unlikely, it probably won't happen ever.

Air-dispersal bioweapon?

What would the purpose be in turning everyone into zombies if the disease spread threw the air? The bites would be pointless, since just being around them would cause you to get the disease. They would not be zombies, they would be anthrax victims with dementia.

Speaking of anthrax, remember what happened when the anthrax attacks happened in America? They where horribly infective. Or wonderfully, if you prefer. Bio-weapons are really difficult to use properly.

And why in hell would every major city on earth be hit with a bio-weapon? I assume that no nation would shoot at themselves, and terrorists would not be able to pull that off. It would literally be impossible.

Your body can't take the stress of not being in control of itself. Rabies kills you a dozen ways, and you wouldn't get back up, much like a zombie attack. How would they move? Would they just burn up all the fat? They need energy to move. Then their nerves would probably not work properly, after all that stuff happening to them. It would be impossible and impracticable.

Zombies aren't hard to defeat. Law enforcement would have them under control in no time.

Depends on whether they have been physically enhanced. Either way, I can't do nothing except barricade myself in, get on my computer and just read the news whilst the guys in uniform deal with it.
