I really hate when the writers screw up a show by overdoing it with too many characters, confusing plots, and the characters aren't really developed enough to actually know them well.
Or when your show just ends without warning when you really wanted a lot more story.

The first three seasons of My Name is Earl were great. Even with all the extraneous characters and flashbacks, they still managed to keep it consistent for that long.
The fourth season was filled with plot holes, inconsistencies and sudden character changes.
It's one of my favorite shows, but I'm not disappointed that they canceled it.
