I like Harry Potter and Hunger Games. For both, the books and movies are great. That doesn't seem to happen a lot.
Some other books I like are: Mistborn (I like the mix of fantasy with a thrilling plot that holds your attention even though the book is pretty long) Pendragon (ten books of traveling through time and space) 13 Reasons Why (a really sad story that opens your eyes to suicide)
Movies: The Invisible (a movie that still makes me cry even after seeing it so many times, has the right mix of romance and supernatural) Rent (I just love the plot, and the singing) Fight Club (I can't break rule one)
So yeah, those are some of my favorite books and movies. Feel free to ask about them.
I personally favour the albeit quite feminine book Noughts & Crosses. The story is about a dystopian world with the superioty of the races swapped and a love in bloom that could never properly exist. (yeah I know it sounds girly)
The Shawshank Redemption is a great a film about an unjustly prisoned man and his daring escape.
Are you asking what everyone's favorite book is separately from favorite movies? Or are you talking about books that have been turned into a movie, like... Potter, Lord of the Rings (as you mentioned), War of the Worlds, any comic book from Marvel, etc., etc., etc.... =)
I like the Goosebumps books. I know they're old, but I used to read them ALL the time when I was a kid and I still like them. I also like the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid series xD But my favorite would have to be a book called "Runner" or one called "Life As We Knew It"
Not a fan of Twilight, Harry Potter, or the Hunger Games. Idk, just not my type of books.
