I loved the book series, and really liked the conclusion to the series. But, on the other hand, the movie was poorly thought out in my opinion because it was made before the conclusion of the series, and included a conclusion in itself.
I liked the books too, though I only read the first three. But I agree that the movie was bad. Maybe those who haven't read the books find it ok or even good, but for those who have, it's a bit of a letdown. It's been a while since I watched it, but I remember two things upsetting me. First, there was a thing with the dwarves. If there were dwarves in the movie, they were beyond recognition. But I'm sure they didn't even implement them. Second, they used a f***ing blonde for the elf. Nothing against blondes, honest But in this case, I don't see a single reason why to use a blonde actress rather than a dark-haired one.
I know, it's very cosmetic criticism, but I don't remember the movie well enough to say much more...
I hated the movie, but loved the books. I'm one of the "lucky" ones that had to wait for a few years before the fourth book FINALLY came out.
Anyways, in the movie, the elf didn't even look like an elf, amd;ike HahiHa said, I don't remember there being any dwarves. They could almost remake the movie now and make it a hundred times better.
