There is a flame thrower type weapon but it is called the flame can. I belevie you can onnly get it from lucky finds and zombie drops. But it very rare.
Just a tip but if anyone likes to pick up a lot of items in the game, it's best to increase the strength meter of the left side of the screen. If you increase that specific meter, it will raise the amount of pounds you can carry be 10 each time. It took my forever to figure that out.
I remember picking up a very strange item : "Not identify" (???) ! I don't know WTF is it.... but I got infinite strength to carry everything and all heavy weapons.... no limited Ibs.... But never see Flamethrower be4...
