Since the popular thread from 2011 has gone to hell with outdated images, false page redirections and 4 blank pages of deleted posts, I think it's time to start anew for the 2012 community.

I'll start out by posting some strange (but real) sodas I found on Google. You can be the ones to determine whether or not you'd ever try any of them.

The label on the last one is real, but the flavor is fake. You'll have to learn the Jones way of doing things.

Chips are another favorite when it comes to bizarre flavors.

^ Those BLT chips are actually not too bad.

And, of course, the Canadian classic...

If you know of any strange flavors or you just happen to find some online, post them here. Pictures are always appreciated.

If I had a deep-fat-fryer that I felt comfortable using, the cupcakes would not be the first thing I'd throw in there. Oreos would be top priority, followed by bacon-wrapped shrimp.

That's the stuff.

@ Strawberry Cupcakes
I've never seen those but the orange ones are pretty good so I believe you when you say that they're addictive!

@ Deep-fried-bacon-wrapped-shrimp
That picture looks like it was taken in a restaurant... I must know where this restaurant is at once!! =D

Actually that sounds pretty good. It's the dessert products being deep-fried that I can't fathom.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy any until you're sure you can handle the addictive power.

You'll have to figure that one out on your own. I just found the image using Google. I suggest you do the same if you have your heart set on this lovely piece of edible perfection.

Actually that sounds pretty good.

Better than off the barbie?

You can't fathom them because you've probably never tried a deep-fried dessert before. Once you have, you'll understand what makes them so delectable.

What better to drink all these deep-fried products with than a nice packet of deep-fried Guinness beer?

Lol... why is it no surprise that deep-fried beer was invented in Texas?

The Irish would be proud... or disgraced...

I was at a county fair the other day, which means deep-fried products galore. I'm thinking about going back later this week just to try more of them because I'm that dedicated.

The assortment of heart-stopping delicacies included, but was not limited to:

Bacon-Wrapped Hotdogs

Oh... my... aching... heart...

Ernie, you have inspired me to go to county fairs once again! Despite my love for fitness and health, I am very proud to say that I would willingly try any of the items you've posted above!

@ Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dog
Those happen to be one of my favorite foods! I've put so many various toppings on them ever since I learned how to make them, such as chili, garlic, grilled onions, peppers, salsa, barbecue sauce, teriyaki sauce, and of course, extra bacon, in addition to or without "standard" hot dog toppings (ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, sauerkraut).

@ Deep-fried Twinkie
I've tried those before and they're not too bad, especially if you drizzle some kind of syrup on them! Even by themselves they're pretty tasty, though!

@ Deep-fried Oreo
Another one I've tried, and I thought this one to be better than the Twinkie because of the rich, chocolatey flavor that you can't get from a normal Oreo and certainly not from a Twinkie!

@ Deep-fried PB&J
Now that looks delicious! Really, that's about all I can say about it just from looking at it! =P

@ Deep-fried Snickers
That just looks like a corndog with powdered sugar on it... hard to determine what it would be like on the inside! Looks pretty good, though! I'll bet the caramel has a different consistency that enhances the quality of the product!

@ Deep-fried Reese's
Again, all I can say is, it looks delicious! I imagine it being similar to the deep-fried Oreo, but with a strong peanut butter flavor in addition to the rich chocolate!

@ Deep-fried Moon Pie
I've never cared much for Moon Pies... they're usually pretty bland and fairly dry. Deep-frying it is probably the only thing you can do to it to make the flavor and the consistency at all interesting!

@ Deep-fried burrito
Sounds interesting, but do the contents change, or is it just the outer layer that is affected by the deep-frying?

@ Deep-fried butter
More like a heart attack on a stick! Haha! You must have to REALLY like butter in order to enjoy one of those artery-pluggers!

@ Deep-fried cheesecake
I can't see there being a gray area for this dessert... I imagine it being either really good or terrifyingly bad! But there's no way it can just be okay... =)

@ Deep-fried watermelon
That looks delicious, but for some reason it also doesn't seem possible! Maybe I'm the only one who considers deep-frying fruit to be a ridiculous procedure, but for some reason I can't place it makes absolutely no sense to me!

And so concludes my comments on deep-fried products of all kinds.

Why do Americans deep-fry sweet things? Seriously. I don't get it. How does it make the quality of the dessert any better than it already is?

If I took a bite of that deep-fried butter, I don't know if I'd throw it back up or have a heart attack first.

All I can say is, don't knock it 'til you try it! You may find that you love deep-fried desserts... which may not necessarily be a good thing for your health... =P

I'm a bit disappointed in myself that I didn't make it to the fair again this week, but there's always next year, and next year is always filled with new deep-fried goodies.

Anyway, here are some fugu mints to keep your breath....warm.

What is fugu?

Fugu mints don't have the same effect if they don't come with the risk of death that makes fugu interesting. Then again, they could be good if you you want to know what fugu tastes like but you don't want to risk your life actually tasting it. I still haven't decided whether this product is stupid or brilliant.

There's still the risk of choking on a mint.

It probably doesn't taste anything like fugu, but more like a chalky pill-like orb with a slight hint of fishiness. Which is probably better than what it would taste like if it had a strong *arti-fish-al* flavor.

God I'm terrible.
