Since the popular thread from 2011 has gone to hell with outdated images, false page redirections and 4 blank pages of deleted posts, I think it's time to start anew for the 2012 community.

I'll start out by posting some strange (but real) sodas I found on Google. You can be the ones to determine whether or not you'd ever try any of them.

The label on the last one is real, but the flavor is fake. You'll have to learn the Jones way of doing things.

Chips are another favorite when it comes to bizarre flavors.

^ Those BLT chips are actually not too bad.

And, of course, the Canadian classic...

If you know of any strange flavors or you just happen to find some online, post them here. Pictures are always appreciated.

Amazed that this is sort of still alive. Or at least, I didn't have to look very hard for it at all.

In Japan, there are KFC fried chicken skin wrapping around the sushi instead of seaweed. Inside the wrap, there is rice a small piece of chicken, some carrots, and sauce.

That sounds incredible. I would eat that every day if it existed outside of Japan.

I wish I lived in that mythical land of Bizarre foods. Where you could find all the strange foods in this thread available outside your door... You have to admit that it would be pretty awesome!

I am a pringles fanatic.

I recently bought a 6-pack of dill pickle Pringles online. Rarely do I buy any kind of food product online, but these particular crispy snack chips were calling my name.

This link is especially for you:

Hey ernie, you remember when you said you wish you could try a BK's memphis BBQ burger? well I have had one (about the same time I had a bacon sundae) and its delicious.

Where and when is this burger available? By the way, I'm sure you'll all be pleased to know McRib season finally came and, needless to say, I took advantage of the situation.

Now I'm off to invent the next big food craze of the decade, Feijoada hot dogs.

I was wondering when this will be back alive me and my friends used to laugh at the different foods.

I recently found them in dill pickleI

I tried those, they were good for awhile but then the taste gets a little bit old and it feels like you're not eating anything at all.

As for me I have nothing but I remember awhile back ModDayCee showed me a picture of grilled armadillo. But I don't want to look through all 15 pages to find it.

I should have checked this earlier...

well, ernie, the sandwich was available in Florida (of course, since that was where I had it...) and it was available for the summer lineup.

I'm guessing the meatballs in the picture are the grilled armadillo? Everything else looks like chicken.

I just read through every page of this thread (except page 17 because Chrome blocked it) and while it was one of the most interesting learning experiences I've had recently, I was also very surprised at how many of those bizarre foods I have actually encountered in my everyday life.

I dreamed about bizarre food flavors a few nights ago. Bizarre soda flavors to be exact. I was in some really big store, and the soda aisle had some crazy flavors. Caramel was one of them, I believe, and Coca-Cola had an apricot-flavored drink. Needless to say, I was only disappointed when I woke up and none of the flavors existed.

I don't plan on going anywhere near Florida this summer, so I guess the BK Memphis BBQ burger is out of the question.

Those are actually what are known as Armadillo Eggs, which, despite the name, contain no armadillo or egg. An Armadillo Egg is a sausage stuffed with a jalapeno stuffed with cheese. Quite misleading if you ask me.

You never know how bizarre your everyday food items may be until you look at them from the MBFF perspective. That's what I'm here for.

There's just something that displeases me about this thread, the name. Its 2013, not 2012.

Indeed, that is an excellent point, and I've been looking into it for some time. At this moment, I'm not sure where to go with MBFF; I'm currently debating whether I want to keep this thread alive and change the title slightly, or start another thread entirely for 2013. I'll have to see where this one goes, or doesn't go if that turns out to be the case.

This is so very true. I've been eating these clear "glass" noodles at Korean-owned restaurants for years and I never stop to think about what an unusual food they really are.

They are as delicious as they are translucent, which is pretty delicious if the image doesn't make the translucency clear enough for you.

Mostly so in their appearance. Their flavor isn't anything unusual, and their consistency isn't really significantly different from that of your standard spaghetti noodle, but they look like they're made of jello and that's plenty strange enough for this thread.

What you did there. I see it.

Speaking of bugs...

I wouldn't be a true bizarre food aficionado if I could not say that I had eaten bugs before. The fact is, I have, and I can tell you that they aren't as bad as they look. Not something I would recommend, because you aren't missing much flavor-wise, but there's nothing disgusting about them.

Actually, that beetle pie would look pretty good if it wasn't for that disgusting feta cheese.
