I have a question about Alt accounts. What is the purpose of having one? If you are not allowed to send messages back and forth, are you allowed to post in the forums at all? Are you allowed to rate games? I'm just curious.
Usually alt accounts are used for game tournaments or a profile for a certain multiplayer game. And know, alts are not allowed to post in forums, unless you have mod approval. I remember a certain user had a mod-approved conversation with himself using his alt. :P
Alt accounts have always been troubling to moderators, but after the massive invasion of new users, as well as the idea that it was a good idea to make clan-accounts, it was added to the rules that all alts was prohibited to show any kind of activity (forums, game- and user comments, ratings).
Don't quote the Cen! The Cen has not been a mod for 4 months, and the knowledge of the rules have gone through some kind of anti-osmosis, that makes the Cen forget details.
Though, arguably, I would still have been looking down on alts that has been rating games, since people would still be using the alt to influence the rating by having more than one vote themselves, which might not be particularly fair (also, better safe than sorry and stating they could rate games, if they couldn't).
Well, then, I get the idea that my creating an Alt account wouldn't benefit me very much.
If it was for a game it would. Like i have an alt (demonofvictory) for exit path. I can't use it for AG, but it is always fun to use it when i'm with my clan on exit path ^_^

LOL. Since that one vote out of the thousands that are on there will really change the rating. But I am with you Cen, just have 1 account you use. Your alt account should be just for playing games or being in a clan.
Well, I already have this topic in my "Why is 'Sockpuppeting' a ban?" topic. So come to my topic and read from there. It gets more detailed and confusing about alternates and originals (accounts).
