I think this is a good idea, because if people want know the forums you had create they just go on your perfil, and there will have yours own forums.You are allowed to delete your forums links to in your perfil.
Well... you can always copy/paste the link to your thread onto your profile's about you know... and if you knwo how to, you can minimize it to a mere word! Like this! Et voila!
