I have the opportunity to influence some game picks where I currently work, so you now have the opportunity to influence the influence.

I am looking for games that work the same way as Mariokarts, that is, racing games with a build in cheat/attack system with random pickups.
It needs to be for ps3.
It needs to be for (1-)4(+) players.
Preferably ones where the unlocks does not limit multiplayer experience.
Age group is 8+ years.
Internet should not be necessary.

If anyone has some good games that fit at least some of these requirements, please do list them (and a short description), so I might have a good list to pick something from.

First thing that comes to mind would be Blur. It's pretty blatantly Mario Kart, except with actual cars.

I'm not entirely sure if the split-screen requires you to unlock things, but otherwise it should be exactly what you want.

Also,have some gameplay.

That does look epic. And it might appeal a lot more to the older users at work than what I am currently playing with the younger ones.
