A peculiar question; I just finished my first SATs attempt without actually preparing for it, so I'll like to know what's a good, decent score? Since I'm an American, would be excellent if someone could answer it for me so I can gauge whether I need to retake them or not. Merci.

Critical Reading: 730
Math: 720
Writing: 670

Multiple Choice: 63/80
Writing: 11

Cries....I hate you. Not really, but that is a good score. I say anything over 2000 is good. You could retake them but I don't think you have too.

Since I'm not an American*

God, I would me mightily ticked off if I'm a Yankee.

My friend got 2300+. What would the realistic average be like?

I got a 1997 or something like that on my PSAT. I was in the 90+% for every category. Your score is really good compared to most. Yes there will be those friends that will beat you but it is still a great score.

Unless you want really want to be accepted to the Ivy League colleges, your scores are great.

Yale:
SAT Critical Reading: 700 / 800
SAT Math: 710 / 790
SAT Writing: 710 / 800

MIT:
SAT Critical Reading: 670 / 770
SAT Math: 740 / 800
SAT Writing: 680 / 770

Harvard:
SAT Critical Reading: 690 / 790
SAT Mathematics: 700 / 800
SAT Writing: 690 / 790

You'd fit right in at most of the top colleges.
