It takes me more than an hour of constant work, so perhaps i am off on my strat. Can anyone clarify for me?
By grade 11-12, you may or may not want to upgrade your 50/25/25 l/y/o gem with a pure orange to enhance mana gain, but you will later have to alter or discard this design. This step is not necessary.
Is this the killer gem, the trap gem, or are they the same thing? He mentions orange, but should i be upgrading with yellow if not the one time orange?
Once you get to the point that you can duplicate grade 12-14 gems whole (regularly) slow down on the mana pool and start working on getting a killer gem.
Is he talking about the trap gem or the tower for the killer gem? He said the tower would be vestigial, so I think it is the trap gem. I just don't know what to upgrade it with color wise.
Also, once you have maxed all the skills, you have only three left, the two leftmost top and resonance. How do you distribute skill points between the three?
Lime in gems makes them hit more targets, this increases the total damage and mana gained, but slows the game down. So up to a point Lime is very usefull but above that try not to have it hit more than 100 or so targets (400 is still doable, 1K is lag city) gems from towers only hit each monster once, so excess jumps are wasted, gems in traps can use all hits on one monster if its the only one available to hit so those allways hit and slow the game. updragind ANY of your YLO gems is done with either copying the gem, OR once you have anough lime , you upgrade them with YO gems (3/4 yellow 1/4 orange). allways make sure that before you upgrade a gem the other one you upgrade with is of the same level. btw I hope you have TWO trap gems later on, because that allows you to upgrade one while the other kills the monsters, that ways you only need the tower gem for emergencies
