I personally think that Obama will win (assuming this is the US election we are talking about) because my mom has been studying charts lately and there is basically no rational way that Clinton could get enough votes to beat Obama. But then again.. trees may start moving and I could see Aslan himself in my back yard. (been reading Narnia lately.)
I also just assume that Obama will win.. because. :]
Besides, didn't Hilary drop out? (I live in Canada, so I'm not that up-to-date.

ThexDancingxMuffin, you're talking about the primaries i.e. the elections that decide who out of the party will run for president. As for that, yes, Obama has technically won, as he has more than the number of delegates required to declare victory.

Hilary I don't think has dropped out, last I heard she was still yet to make a move to concede defeat, although this is merely a matter of when, not if.

As for the presidential elections between Obama and McCain, according to my impression of the situation, I believe that Obama will win a tightly fought campaign. This is merely speculation, however, and I'm making this judgment regardless of my own political preferences.

nobody should win. it's not like they are the best canidates for the job. I bet there are at least a million people that can make wiser decisions than them. they are just rich puppets who do what congress says. it's not like the president has any power anymore. if you don't beleive me read some books and you'll see. the best thing to do is just go live out in the wilderness and hunt your food because the world is going to hell. with that being said, the presidential race this year, as we all know, has a black man, a white man, and a woman. sounds like the start of a dirt bar joke doesn't it? anyway, white people and men are the minority in this country nowadays so McCaines out. even though it seems the American people want Clinton to be pres. she won't be because she doesn't have as many delegates voting for her. which means it will be Obama, but maybe not because the government keeps reminding us of the war and his name is a synonym with Osama. the people we are fighting are muslim, his parents are muslim. most people in this country are predjudice so I think he's out. it's kinda like putting three turds in a paper bag, shaking it about, then reaching in and grabbing one. it doesn't matter who gets elected, the end result will still be less freedom, more laws, and more death via war. my views might seem pessimistic, but I among others beleive them to be true. atleast we've still got our health though right?

Polling shows that McCain will win if the election were held right now.

Look below the maps and you'll see McCain wins the electoral vote 288 to 238.

Er...theorywizard, I believe you kinda missed the point of the thread. We're here to speculate about who will win, not who we want to win.

Hm, when are the elections going to be held, anyway? Can we start establishing betting odds?

We've got Obama and McCain. Are there even any other candidates? I don't know the details of how US politics works @.@

There are other candidates and parties (Libertarian, Green, Prohibitionist, Socialist Party USA, Communist Party USA, Constitutionalist Party) , but they have no chance. The Republicans and Democrats get about 97% of all votes. Hopefully in the future, this two party system will go away. The Green Party gained some followers in the late 1990's, but have died down since. The Libertarian Party has been doing better every year since its founding. But Republicans and Democrats are going to do do anything possible to stop a third party from rising.

Well I choose for Broc Obama. Because I think he would and could lead the Americans to better war fair and maybe even stop the war in Iraq. Everyone would be happy and exited that their troops are coming home. Also he would be the first African-American to be elected President of the United States Of America [USA]. But their are surely resist people trying to kill or harass Obama. For example, Like the "KKK" , surely they would try to kill Obama because of his skin Color. But My vote counts. Even tho I am not old enough to vote. I would have to chose Obama.

Once again, this thread is for who WILL win. I really think McCain will pull this in the end. I am probably basing this off of my preferred choice, but I think that since Hilary is out, then those Democrats will either not vote, vote for Obama or possibly McCain. So the Democratic voters are cut up, but all, if not most, Republicans will vote for McCain.

What a really wonder is if Ralph Nadar will try again, haha. He just never gives up!
