I need URGENT help.
I just ran the "Clear Browsing Data" feature in Google Chrome, and now all of my Armorgames savedata has been deleted.
I have been working on MANY games on this site for YEARS, I cannot let all time & effort & progress I've made just be lost forever! For at least half a year I've avoided clearing out any internet cookies or cache files using my browsers, because I know those are where all of my savegame data is stored. I've been paranoid to avoid this.

Recently I posted this thread, asking about how I could backup all my ArmorGames cache files before I reformat my computer later this summer: [url=http://armorgames.com/community/thread/9867940/how-can-i-keep-my-saved-data-for-any-all-games-when-reformatting-my-hard-drive]
I found the folders that someone told me about in that thread, but have not yet made a backup copy of them. I've also been playing armorgames EXCLUSIVELY with Firefox, since some temporary-internet-files seem to be browser-specific, even including AG savegames. I never play on Chrome.
But I do other stuff on Chrome & the browser was having a lot of problems tonight... and my internet connection was going down repeatedly for hours, so I went & ran the "Clear Browsing Data" function in Chrome. I had only the options checked to clear "browsing history", "download history", "cookies and other site & plug-in data", and "saved autofill form data." I made SURE the clear-cache option wasn't checked.

It was after this that I opened Armorgames (using firefox) to check that it was still ok, but found all of my data gone.

Another thing I did just before this was run my registry cleaner. I run it often without any harmful effect to my AG saves; plus my program saves a backup of the registry whenever I run it. I restored the most recent backup of my registry, but my games were still gone. I restored the NEXT-recent registry backup; still no games.

Another thing I had done even before clearing the data from chrome, was to reset my router and modem (by pressing the "reset" button on both), since powercycling the router only got my internet working for a few minutes at a time. Might this have erased all my data?

I searched online for a way to recover deleted internet cookies, one suggestion I found was to do a system-restore from windows. I tried to do that (for the first time ever), but apparently I've never made any backup restore-points before, because there was nothing available for me to restore the system to.

HELLLLLLPPPP! How can I get all my saved games back?!? I must find out ASAP, before I do something else wrong that prevents me from being to do whatever you might suggest!
If I can't get my games back, then I might as well delete my AG account, because it won't be worth playing here anymore. I accomplished too much over too long a time with too many games, to be able to start over from scratch with all of them and spend another several years getting back to where I was.

Maybe the AG saves are not browser specific.

That's a possible cause.

This thread should help you.

You cannot delete an account, but you can request a perma-ban by e-mailing support@armorgames.com

I'm not sure if this will work but did you try and go to your "system and maintenance" on your OS and try the "Backup and Restore" option?

Again this is just a novice idea so don't get your hopes up...

I actually saw that post like a minute after I made this thread. I sent Justin an e'mail, waiting to see if I hear back.

Um, yes. In my original post:

If they are deleted then you can use software that "restores deleted files" and maybe save them if they haven't been overwritten with other information.
Glary Undelete (google: Glary Undelete Cnet) is a program that can help do that. Glary's utilities also does it. Some other programs "un-delete".

If you search for this: Macromedia\\Flash Player\\#SharedObjects\\PFPSG52J

Following any of those folders you should get to the flash files. (specifically shared objects and the folder in that one.)
These are the folders that contain armor games flash saves(XP should be same on win7):
cache.armorgames.com
agi.armorgames.com

If you deleted them, and they don't un-delete, then you can only get back the online saved games. (maybe)

This happened to me too ><. I waited months before getting back to playing any of these games whose saves were deleted.

Double post, sorry.
But if you can un-delete them, then you have hope. You can 'restore' as many as you can that are in good condition. Then start a new game. Go to that game start a "new game" and exit the game's webpage; then just overwrite (or delete then replace) the new .sol save with the restored old one. Should work fine..

I've backed up .sol saved games sometimes lol
