I personally hate the new spongebobs! c: The old ones are so much better. The Band Geek one, Pretty Patties, Bubble Buddy, the one with the giant worm, when he forgets how to make a krabby patty, the squeeky boots... ah the good times
Spongebob isn't bad, but in Belgium we get the dutch version, and the dutch dub really sucks. His annoying laugh is even more irritating and he sounds even more stupid than in English. So after all, I don't really like spongebob.
For me, I like the older Spongebob Squarepants episodes a little more than the newer ones. In the first few seasons, every single episode was so funny, unique, and had a bit of adult humor wich was funny and smart! But now, it's less funny, they should make the show more like the older ones. Or just show more of the older episodes.
Spongebob used to be very clever and witty. I really liked the show, it was hilarious. But, Spongebob is now mediocre and nowhere near as clever as it used to be. The new episodes are dull ...
They should really try to bring back the original director and writers.

good times indeed.

i agree, have you seen the episode where squiddward loses his clarinet and seeks it in a small cupboard? how can they show insides of an eagle in a cartoon? i mean, spongebob is a show that even small children watch.

I have to agree. The first three or four seasons of Spongebob were great! There was humor that appealed to children as well as adults mixed in the old episodes. As well the humor had a more subtle charm and some really great finer nuances (Yeah! That's right! Finer nuances in Spongebob.)
Now Spongebob is all yelling and crying. It's grotesques and annoying, with all hit you in the face "humor" nothing subtle. All the characters have become flat and one dimensional.
Nickelodeon is just taking the show and running it into the ground, trying to get every last drop of cash out of it, without being concerned for the quality.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie was released in the U.S. on November 19, 2004. It received generally good reviews from critics and successfully grossed over $140 million worldwide. The film was intended to be the series finale, and creator Hillenburg announced that he would resign as showrunner[10] and gave the post to Paul Tibbitt. However, in 2005, it was announced that SpongeBob would be continuing with a fourth season due in May. Hillenburg was rumoured to have left the series; however, he did not actually leave the show but still serves as an executive producer.[10]
It looks like the show should have ended in 2004. Hillenburg is not involved with the show as much as before, also. This is probably why the show lacks so much now.
I love watching spongebob but I feel like the ly are trying too hard to be funny now. It's hard to explain but they are trying to like relate their comedy with kids too much if that makes sense. They are not as funny as they used to be. And they are only funny in a laughing at you way rather than laughing with you. The only laugh with you character is Patrick
I love Spongebob! I remember when I was a kid, I saw "Help Wanted" and I was into it! I still love the new episodes today, but as many people have said over time Spongebob did lose some of the spice it had in the 90s and early 2000.
I can't lie, I loved the show. But recently I've been revisiting it and I found a lot of episodes to be quite obnoxious with SpongeBob crying every 5 seconds.
