Strategy Guide
Another boss battle! Compared to all the fights that you have won, this one is the most challenging so far.
Let's have a look at your enemies first. Saber has an extremely high dodge rate (700) which means he can reduce the hit rate of all abilities by 70%. Most of your normal abilities (First Dance, Trigger Happy etc.) will barely scratch him. Not only that, he also has a healthy amount of HP and powerful aggressive battle abilities. His Poison Tail can cause a unit to lose 25% of its HP every turn. In addition to the damage he can do, his enemy faces certain defeat. He is also supported by 4 bandits who make things much more complicated.
You get to control Gelyan again, and now he can also conjure a new Tarot: The Fool. The Fool is your best bet to absorb the damage since he has high endurance and Black damage resistance. Since The Fool cannot move, he can use Castling to switch places with your characters to protect them. You can use Castling in both the move and action phase.
Nera is your key to victory here. Her Crystal Ballad not only deals high amount of damage but also has a very high hit rate (150%). If you went for a magic build (Moon Waltz build) with Nera, she will have low HP and is very delicate; therefore, use a hit and run tactic with her. Have Nera attack and defeat the sword bandit then use the Fool's Castling to get her out of the battle so Saber can't attack her. Try to defeat both sword bandits on your second turn.
Your starting position is perfect to set up a wall. Have Gelyan conjure the Fool above him to complete a wall. The High Priestess can be used for blocking and healing. Also, the High Priestess's Azure Wings is one of the few abilities that can really damage Saber, so use it whenever you have a chance. The best way to defeat Saber is using Nera and the High Priestess to attack him before he has a chance to do too much damage. Finish him off with Soulburst abilities if necessary.
Tips for this battle:
- You don't have to defeat all the bandits to win this battle.
- Saber has a very high Dodge rate; therefore, only use abilities with a high hit rate against him (Crystal Ballad, Frozen Steps, Azure Wing etc.).
- Sisily's new ability, Electrify Kisses, can deal a massive amount of damage. However, the hit rate is normal (100%) so it is not good against Saber. Feel free to use it on the other enemies, however.
