Bran, I hope I did some justice on explaining it correctly. At least for the cases of SOME people. It isn't the same for every cutter. I could only give personal experience in who I knew.
Everybody could do with a dose of self-awareness, in my opinion. It would also lead to people being more critically inclined when posting.
Both Asherlee and I have an interest and some background in psychology/psychiatry respectively, so I suppose both of us do tend to sound like 'therapists' at times.

I've cut before, and it is an escape because it actually makes you high. In scientific terms, there is a sensory in your brain that is triggered when air meets blood, therefor getting you high. Well something like that lol
