its 2020. for years now, scientists have been considering the possibility of creating something that transfers thoughts into matter. they have finally found the solution.
its a computerized chip, called the Matter Translater Core, or as we will abbreviate it MTC. its mainly a CPU transferred directly into the brain of a person to allow them to think of anything, and in 10 seconds it will appear in there hands. but it has a setback.
an MTC costs 1.5 million US dollars. this is because they are created with software that is capable of running a super computer and it is also created with iridium, plasmid structures, and chips of platinum. the government wants people to use this system, so they have came up with a compromise to the cost. the compromise is that you use it to fight.
they have created an arena called the Imaginative Combat Arena. this arena is capable of changing enviroments. they said that you can have this chip implanted into your brain for FREE if you can fight in the arena long enough to make the money in prizes by winning battles. this arena is so advanced, it is capable of sustaining life support so your not battling to the death, only to a simulation of death. therefore even if you lose you can continue battling.

this game will work similarly to this: you can pick either a ranked fight, or a practice match. ranked will give you prize money, XP, and tier points. I will explain this in the following. practice gives you XP but nothing else.
you can fight against AI's, but this game is going to but 100% PvP once we have players.
you can only summon items that can fit in your hand, and are in your tier. your current weapons tier determines what kind of weapons you can use. tier 1 is blunt weapons and shields, but it gets much more advanced. you unlock higher tiers with tier points. you gain base health as you level up.
combat will work like this: 1 player does an action, the opponent reacts. this needs an example, and I have a good tier 1 example:
player 1: I summon a bow and arrow, then shoot it at blank. (action, or attacking phase)
player 2: I summon a shield and attempt to block the arrow (reaction, or defensive phase)
after this, player 2 acts and 1 reacts. combat will work in that order. you cant assume the outcome of your attacks, you must wait for me. but you can react to your opponent before I post if you wish. 1 battle may take an hour of real time, or possibly a week. it all depends on strategy and significant choices. in ranked matches, you and your opponent will be in different tiers. in practice it is not so. in all honestly, I want this to be fair, but it wouldn't be fun if you had to fight in tier 1 with your opponent if you were at tier 3. the maps will always be different, and I will give certain powers more abilities in certain environments. the 1st poster can jump immediately into a battle if they wish, I will pair him/her with an AI.
have fun! and team based battles will take place in the future.

I attempt to trap the cleaver between my blades and wrench/cut it out of his hands.
If this works, I then attack him mercilessly.
so, umm, my opponent isn't posting, do I have to wait for him or do I get extra actions?
