That's what they did, the next few days of work went fine, then several workers went missing, blood and gore was everywhere, eventually the site was taken over. All of the legendary and mythical creatures were unleashed, Mummies, Centaurs, Werewolves, Vampires, Griffins, Minotaurs, etc. You must survive in any way that you can, find weapons, get supplies, take shelter and don't look back. This is the Mythical Apocalypse.
