1. About the Site

Daniel Mcneely is the founder of this amazing site. It started with GamesofGondor, but grew over the years, changing it's name to Armor Games. This new site went live on January 8th 2008. Here you can play games, leave reviews, talk with people in the forums, make new friends, and much more.

As of right now, the site has exactly 916 games(Yes I counted... Well, I used a calculator). The great variety of games, and the amazing community that is here makes this site one of the best free flash game sites out there. Really, the whole theme about this site differs it from the rest. The Armor Games staff, AG for short, keep this site as original as possible.

2. Rules and Guidelines

Every great site needs Rules and Guidelines to maintain a peaceful balance throughout the community. And it just so happens that there are rules for this site.

*Community Rules Forum Rules

- No flaming, badgering, spamming, or trolling.

- No discussion of piracy or illegal material, or linking to these illegal activities.

- Do not post material that is hateful or mean towards race, religion, sex, or any other offensive nature.

- Do not post for the sake of forum post count... your posts will be removed if we see you posting multiple 5-7 word posts just for points.

- Do not complain about getting banned, and do not make another account to circumvent a ban.

- Do not post links to lewd or offensive content. Keep everything Safe for Work.

- Do not post any personal information about you or anyone else. We don't want to know your street address.

- Do not post advertising or referral links.

- No excessive swearing or language.

- Turn off your caps lock, do not use excessive ALL CAPS in your posts.

- Do not copy or plagiarize comments.

If any of these rules are broken you are eligible to be banned. Follow these rules and maintain your account.

3. Moderators and Administrators About

*Administrators

The administrators of AG are pretty much the people that run AG. They work behind the scenes most of the time, and they help setting everything up.

The admins are as follows:

DanielMcneely - Founder of AG. What a GREAT MAN!

John - Head of game development. Lovin' all the games John!

Shpigford - Handles all of the site development and design, and apparently he likes mountain dew and pugs! Thanks for making the site look so great!

Carlie - The one, the only, the COMMUNITY MANAGER. She is the one making the community look great and head of dealing with disgruntled kids playing on this site. Great Work!

Tony - Game Creator, he has made some amazing games, and I really look forward to seeing some more!

ConArtists - Game Creator, he has also made some really great games!

Krin Ahh... The famous Krin. As everyone knows he has made Sonny, a major hit all over the web, and also some other really great games. Good luck with Sonny 2 Krin!

Flipski - Helps out around the community, but always seems to be busy. Thanks for all of your help!

*Moderators

These people are the people who really keep this site running smoothly. Without them, it would be chaos. So I would like to say, Great Job Everyone! We are really glad you are here helping to make this a better site! They are who you want to get in touch with if you have a problem with something, or somebody on the site.

The following are your moderators:

dank - Seems to know a lot about programming. I always see him helping out people in the programming help section.

Calm - I have not had much experience with Calm, but he seems like a really cool guy and he helps out a lot. He will also be inactive for a few weeks.

Asherlee - I always see her around helping out as much as she can. Thanks!

Ubertuna Definitely Uber amazing. Always here deleting spam, and dealing with users. He also makes amazing music. Go ask him for a link and listen for yourself.

Devoidless - Founder of Breakfastarianism and a great debater. He is also very smart and wise guy. If you want to have intelligent conversations, talk to this guy.

Moegreche - Another really intelligent person who debates. He is always on helping out the best he can.

Strop - Strop, Strop, Strop, what can I say about Strop? Well to start he is a ninja mod, that is why he is Armatar-less. He also works the graveyard shift in modding, that is why he is on in the early hours of the morning.

DragonMistress - Knowing from experience, she is a really cool person to talk to. She is also an artist that loves playing games. Her pet peeves are ignorant people and 'leetspeek'.

4. Armor Points(AP)

Ahh, Armor Points. The thing that shows your rank and progress on this site. There are a variety of ways to get AP some easier than others.

*Rating Games(2 AP) - Simple enough. Under each game there is a box that says Game Stats. Under it, you will see the average rating for the game, and then an option to place your vote. Simply mouse over to the correct number(it should turn orange of your doing it right) and then click the mouse. Congrats, you have just rated a game. Please make sure to ACTUALLY play the game. You are not allowed to just rate the game randomly for points. This is cheating and once caught it will result in ban!

Comments(2 AP) - This can be both, game comments and profile comments. All of the rules listed at the top of this page apply. For game comments, please leave well written constructive posts. If you leave a good enough review on a game, you may even get a merit(explained below).

Forum Posts(1 AP) - This would be posting in the community. If you are reading this post, then you are in the community. All rules listed near the top of the page apply!

Games Submitted(10 AP per game) - This is mainly for developers only, but of you are a beginner and are interested in making one go here and you can any help you need.

Referrals(10 AP) - Referrals are, well they are referring people to the site. You can do this in two ways:

- Copy and paste your referral link from your Control Panel onto another website, or through E-mail. Once someone clicks on the link it will take them to the home page. They can then click on register in the top-right corner and register. Once they verify their account you get 10 points. NOTE: This seems to have been messing up recently, but I believe they are working on it as I type.

- Copy and paste the code from the banners located here onto your site, or Myspace or anything else. Same process as above.

Referrals are constantly being checked to make sure they are not faked. If yours is found to be fake, you will lose those points.

Merits(25 AP) - With 25 AP, these are the top dawgs. Merits are simply put, posting well written reviews of the games on the game comments. There is an amazing guide right here that will definitely help you in your quest for merits.

*What's the Point of AP

AP is really used for three things. Unlock Armatars, earn rank badges, and show your rank on the site. Here, let me explain each.

- Armatars - These are the pictures that you see next to users names. To obtain an Armatar got to your Control Panel and click the Armatar link. You will probably notice that some cannot be seen. This is because you have not gotten a sufficient amount of AP to unlock them. Once you get the required amount, the locked ones will be available.

- Rank Badges - You obtain these once you get enough AP for a certain badge. The rankings are as followed:

Wood Serf: 10 AP
Silver Serf: 25 AP
Gold Serf: 100 AP

Wood Squire: 225 AP
Silver Squire: 400 AP
Gold Squire: 625 AP

Wood Knight: 1200 AP
Silver Knight: 1750 AP
Gold Knight: 2250 AP

Wood Lord/Lady: 3000 AP
Silver Lord/Lady: 3500 AP
Gold Lord/Lady: 4000 AP

Wood Duke/Duchess: 4500 AP
Silver Duke/Duchess: 5200 AP
Gold Duke/Duchess: 6000 AP

Wood Prince/Princess: 7250 AP
Silver Prince/Princess: 8500 AP
Gold Prince/Princess: 10000 AP

Wood King/Queen: 12000 AP
Silver King/Queen: 14500 AP
Gold King/Queen: 17500 AP

- Site Rank - If you notice, when you go to your profile and read the the message next to your name, it will say: (Insert Name Here) is a male/female and is ranked (Insert Rank Here) out of (Insert Number of People Here). There is also a player-ranking list here. This includes a Life-Time Leaderboard, Current Leaders, and Last Month's Leaders.

5. Spamming

I'll make this short and sweet. Spamming is what is mentioned in the rules at the top, and this will tell you what to do if you spot spam.

Bottom-line, DON'T DO IT. It can only get bad for you.

6. Tricky BB Code

The BB code is the buttons at the top while making a forum post. I noticed many users have problems with this. So here are some easy to steps to make sure it works.

Bold - Really easy way to do bold is just to type what you want, and then high-lite it, and click the bold button. Poof. It's done.

Italic - Same as Bold

Link - That directs to the home page. Okay, click the link button and then paste the link of the page in. Hit enter, and then without pressing anything, type what you want the link to be called(In my case it's entitled "Link&quot. Now press the link button again and your all done.

- Right click on whatever the picture is, and click on "Copy Image Location." Now click the Image button and paste the link you copied. Press enter, and wala.
