I am curious about some of the mathematics in the game.

For example, if I have a quad gem,
red -white - orange - black
Now it will give me a total damage, in this case lets say 20,000 to 80,000
it will give me multi hit, lets say 75
it will give me mana leech lets say 1000
after that I have poobound x20
and bloodbound x5
also a quad multiplier
now is the multipliers and the blood and pool already calculated into the total, or do they tack that on afterwards,
also that question goes for amplifiers is it included in the damage, or is it added on after. (i think amplifiers are included)
so will the blood and pool multiply what you receive from the amplifier?

also enraging waves
is it the same if I enrage a stone with 12 tier 13 gems, as opposed to 6 tier 14 gems?

basically I want to know what I am dealing with, and what is the best possible way to farm the max amount of xp, I dont really like the fact that I am forced to play with swarms because I dont get much xp from them,
anyhow just by looking at this game there is a lot that goes into math just to make this operate.
really cool if you think about it.

@zzxxzz3 Really? I'm not sure which map would actually qualify as tough but not too tough. You also can't anger waves in the beginning to 999 with a small amount of mana (in addition, they would be too tough). I would normally use red/yellow/white. What skills should I have on?

You can wait a few waves (~10) and just anger 9x each time with a grade 3-4 gem until you have enough mana. I usually try to anger the first wave to 350 or so, 2nd wave to 600, and 3rd to 999, but I'm almost level 2000. You want red, white, yellow, and orange mastery (don't worry about black for now) as well as as trap mastery, the pool upgrade, true colors, and the cost-reduce upgrade...the upgrade the reduces monster hp growth from angering is also nice.

You want a RWO gem in a trap with slowing gems on either side to get massive mana, and a few spots after that a RYW gem (also in a trap) to kill things. With decent color/trap mastery upgrades, traps drastically outdamage towers.

also ZZXX, if he has enough points make sure to tell him to add blood too.

And darnit...now I have an inferiority complex...I'm impressed. Of course you only beat me with my help, but still that is VERY impressive(ofc you have + 7K start mana over me so....)

I've decided to gain more levels...tut tut have to abandon again...

@zzxxzz3 How did you get wave 10 to have 3,117,326,585,149,95e+22 life with only 75 bomb drops?

High grade gems, duh. Lolz....

I angered one wave(a giant) to 5 * E24 with grade...I forget, like grade 41, they each give 1100 * 3.82 xp lol....

Yea thunder I also have like +8 total crafting skills and ~20K starting mana so I was able to anger a total of something like 900 monsters the first two waves...really helped. Also, in your video, I think your killgem takes some of your farm early on, but I leave mine in a trap whole match.

You shouldn't restart though, getting to 999 will take long enough with each wave taking a minute or two on slowest...

0 points in Fury and 75 grade 30 bombs. I add 5 grades to my gem bomb every few waves.

Update at wave 20:

This is taking forever, but I think I'd need a kill gem somewhere above grade 120 to clear endurance :/

Wow nice! My endurance run all traits except carapace and make lock on haunting, 80M xp wave 45, grade 54ish, slow BC I've been angering with as high grade as I can. This isn't endurance yet BTW.

One wave got to 1500 xp per giant, with spark and mana multiplier and talisman which idk. So 1500 * 999 * 5.49 * unknown talisman = about 8 million for one wave? Think I have like +70% talisman or something. Loooots of xp were. Hoping to eventually get a black or white shrine. Black for epic damage, white for insane xps.

What's the formula for angering? Say, using 4x lvl1 gems vs using 1x lvl3 gem? Why is it better to go higher?

Low grades are mana efficient if you don't have farm. High grades are 999 monsters, more xp per grade, little more HP per grade, same armor.

So, if you want to maximize net mana gain, use lvl 1 gems for angering til you can just barely kill the wave?

If you want to maximize xp per wave, you use max lvl gems?

Use a gem that doesn't really dent your mana. Also, you don't want your farm gem to kill ANY monsters. Let them all go over farm gem first, then die to kill gem later. If you have yellow-white aspect in kill gem, its damage will be incomparably higher than the farm gem.

this is for the enraging waves thing you're asking

according to my mathematical knowledge and knowledge of this game, given that I will assume(because it doesn't matter what level fusion you have) that you have about 108 mana cost for combining gems, and i'm using mana value because that is what the game uses to determine wave enragement. This means that the formula is (where t = tier of gem and n = number of gems you use to enrage the waves)*see [2]*, so that gives us A difference of 684, and the higher one is the 12 13 Tier gems.

in other words, no, they're not the same, if you're looking for a higher value(for higher enragement) go for the 12 13 tier gems.

[2]n*(2^t+108)
