Hey everyone! It's that time of year again. It's time for superbobdabest's 3rd annual football competition. For all of you who have not played in this competition I'd like to first inform you that this is first American football and it is the NFL not college. Second if you would like to join you must first watch or know enough about the teams to say which are good and which are not and you must be decently active. If so then if you would like to just ask to sign up. All of the rules, scores, news and other updates will be posted here. Please check this as often as possible. We have 10 total spots, 9 remaining.

Scoring Points:

For those of you who have been in this before there have been some changes. The way it goes is: We will do a draft. Everyone will get 3 teams (not counting further trades). Every time that team wins, you get 3 points. In the result of a tie both teams will earn 1 point. There is also Playoff Points (see below).

Draft

The way the draft works is I will write the names of the people who have signed up down on a paper. I will one at a time pull the names out of a hat. The first person I pull out of the hat will draft last during the first round. The next name I pull out will draft second to last and so on. After we pull out the order we will double up, meaning the last person of the first round will go first in the second round, and the second to last will go second and so on. For the third and final round we will repeat the first round.

Trades

You and any other player(s) are allowed to make trades at anytime. You can trade teams, points, and draft picks. Draft picks will not be allowed to be involved in a trade until the draft order is posted. Both players must post that they are okay with the trade before I make it official.

Playoff Points

Next; playoff points. Each team who makes the playoffs gets 2 points. Winning the Wild Card round or getting a bye during the Wild Card round gets you 3 points. Winning the Divisional round gets you 4 points. Winning the Conference round gets you 5 points. Winning the Superbowl gives you a whopping 6 points. If you don't like the playoff points scoring system we may take a vote about it later in the season.

Rules and Penalties

Rules are anything that will get you trouble anywhere else on AG, will get you in trouble here. If an offense is committed, depending on how ultimate the offense is you could face loss of points or even an ejection from the competition. This hasn't been a problem in the past and I don't intend it to be.

Ok I think that's it. If anyone has a question or comment just post here or on my profile. If you would like to sign up then make sure you have read the above and then just comment below. Draft order will be decided after 9 more people have signed up. Thanks everyone.

@nichodemus There are weeks off in the NFL called Bye Weeks. Each team get one per season.

Can someone explain to me, why some teams don't play that week?

Except for the first 2 weeks and the last 2 weeks there are a few teams every week that get a bye week. The bye week is just a week off so they have a break, can talk with the team, etc. It just sorta is there. I think they made it when the NFL went from a 13 week season to a 17 week season.

Hopefully, I can finally get all three wins this week. KC beat the bills. Perrish Cox's flop on the hail mary and the rest of the 49ers defense carried down the stretch. Only need the Eagles to win against an injury riddled Panthers team.

The Eagles should be able to win.

I cannot figure out the Dolphins right now. Some weeks they look great and other weeks they look meh.

What about the steelers? Big Ben bit the dust. Losing to the jets LOL. XD

BUT WHAT ABOUT THEM CARDINALS! 8-1, best in league, and no one even cares. Media has said nothing about it.

I was dying over it xD

@Patrick2011 I would like to trade the Giants for the Falcons. The falcons seem to be going nowhere really and the rest of their games aren't gonna be easy so they may pick up a win or two but that's all. The giants should pick up 3 or 4 more and I think they have a fairly easy schedule, Jaguars, Redskins and Titans. Sucks I have the Redskins though...

Might trade away the Redskins later, they should be able to get an easy win against Tampa Bay this week though, I mean seriously, who can't ._.

I believe Pittsburgh lost to them too. LOL They beat a couple powerhouse offensive teams, and lose to the worst.

Sigh, I guess I have to give up on Blake making a good team out of the Jags this year. I would like to trade the Jags for the Falcons.

Noted. I'll include that in next week's score update, including any points you score from the Falcons on Sunday.

Carson Palmer down with a torn ACL. We'll see once the playoffs arrive if they are true contenders. I haven't watched the Cards play much. but just basing off of statistics, their offense isn't that explosive. Their defense is mostly carrying.

Can't trust statistics. You have to watch them play. Not a powerhouse offense like Denver or Indianapolis, but they can score points, and are full of potent weapons (Like my man John Brown. That guy is responsible for quite a few wins.) Defense is crucial, and the Cardinals have one of the best, with pretty much the entire front seven being different from last year. Mighty impressive.

They beat the 'Niners with Drew Stanton at QB. He's quite familiar with Arians offense, and with the Defense, I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to contend.

Would you be open for possibly trading the Bengals for the Redskins for week 12?

The Seahawks were exactly like this last year and they won the Super Bowl.
Can't trust statistics.

For the most part you can. At the end of the day though the only statistic that matters is the score.
