Hey all, Obould here, not sure if anybody remembers me, but I'm here with an idea for a new RPG. It struck me the other day that I haven't been able to be as creative as I'd like to be, so here I am once again to design beautiful worlds with fantastic people. This is going to need to be a team-effort however, as I want the community to help me design the game before I start it up.

I believe that the players control the game's world more-so than the game-master does, I think that it makes for a better game. So I leave you with a poll. Every few days I shall add another poll for the next element of the game to be implemented. First and foremost, we need a time period for the RPG. Please vote on one of the following basic settings:

- Prehistoric
- Ancient Civilization
- Medieval
- Victorian
- Modern
- Post-Modern (100 or so years in the future)
- The Future (Thousands of years in the future)

Thanks everyone, may we have a fantastic RPG brewing in a week or so!

DISAGREEMENT

I like to have an RPG that has fixed goals that ends if you kill "finalbosss X".
Why?
What's the reason to have a RPG if there is no victory?
Besides, the poor player charachter would be fighting for the rest of his life in an open-ended RPG..
EDIT:But,as shadow said,at least make it long.

Looks like it will be a fairly long game with something of an end.

Alirghty then, should various magics or powers be implemented at all?

So your asking if we want to be regular people, or people with powers? Going with the kind of RPG we have going here I'm going to say no.

How about very minor ones?ones that can come in handy if needed but aren't Superman kind of superpowers?

Well, I do like super power game, but no, unless the powers are linked to the armor you where, (steampucks do wear armor) then it might be more likely.

B-But it's Victorian era. That is practically the perfect era for steampunk, otherwise, it'd be pretty boring. So I'll say yeah to steampunk.

Yes. In fact, for the exact same reasons as Rip.
