Our story begins in the foul lair of a mad sorcerer. Deep within the bowls of a cavern a cell made of rusty iron bars a lone figure rests lumped upon a pile of rags. She waits for the only other being in this place to deliver her ration of slop, a small goblin called Briggs. The master is gone and has been for sometime and the food has gradually become worse now to little more than watery bone broth with a piece of moldy bread.

Goblin is now out of range for any perception rolls, you got sometime to look around

This closet sized room contains a large locked chest about 4 feet by 2 feet, you also find a familiar hammer resting on the wall

After about 2 minutes of whacking the chest the hammer flies into the side of it and You break half of the potions in the box, they make your armor sticky and smell like flowers...

You find your gear and 2 potions of cure light wounds, a map of the area, 4 tindertwigs, and 2 smoke pellets.

It will take you about 3 more minutes to equip your armor and gather your things.

You see the map contains some strange glyphs and they glimmer in the darkness but fade in the light.

Other than that it is a map of the Northern Ranges, a mountainous region where you and your companions ventured to stop the sorcerer who captured you. They are all now dead or gone, it has been more than three months since you woke up in that prison cell after the battle. An x marks the current location of the den you are at, looks to be in the abandoned mines about 20 miles northwest of the Lastwall, a small village you departed from on your last endeavor.
