Out in our garden we have cucumbers, melons, tomatoes, etc. Well , we picked this fruit off the cucumber plant that resembled a melon. It looks like a honeydew melon on the inside but tastes like a cucumber. Someone suggested that it could be a hybrid/crossbreed. Any other ideas of what it could be?

You should keep the seeds and replant it to get more, also isn't selling food on ebay bad because it will get bad?

Also isn't $400 a lot to ask for it?

It looks like pear, but different. Weird indeed.

I think it looks like a watermelon, but my dad says its probably jus ta deformed cucumber, they happen alot. In our strawberry patch I once found a strawberry that had a small top and a fat bottom, like it grew upside down. If I knew they were worth 400 bucks, I wouldn't have eaten it.

400 bucks for a fruit? Only a retarded idiot would buy it. (HINT HINT Tbarpo HINT HINT) =p But obviously, he can't take a joke so he's going to flag it probably.

It would be interesting to have a garden where you just try and grow random hybrids, and sell them on ebay for lots of money. A good gardener could make a living off that... lol.

Do you think anyone will actually buy it?

I would totally buy your meloncumber....

that is its official name, declared by me.

But the thing is, it is just too over priced, I would say 20$ is a good price for it.

Be sure to say the seeds so you can regrow it!

That would be interesting.

But you would have to learn HOW to do it. I mean, you can't just plant seeds, and then tell them to become "freaks of nature".

I think someone will. If had $400 to spare, i would...

Well, it said in the ebay listing that they have a few more growing too. So whatever it is, I am assuming they will have plenty of seeds! It will be cool to see if you plant the seeds, if it will come back in the same way.

I don't think they will be the same. I think that you will just grow more cucumbers. The seeds look exactly like cucumbers seeds to me...

But i don't mean to crush any optimism out there
