Honestly, I've done enough posting to know that "flood controls" like this don't really have much effect on spam.

It sometimes does get on my nerves.

I think a better rule would be to limit the number of posts by span of time. For example, on NewGrounds, you can only reply four times to one thread per every 30 minutes, and you can only make four or so threads per hour. Also, if you post frequently within a short amount of time(exact figures unknown) it tells you to slow down and prevents further posts for about 30 seconds.

I've asked to get rid of it, and so have many others, but the mods said that it will remain.
