Its hard....I broke up with this girl on the Monday, and then I found out on Wednesday that on Tuesday night they had been planning to wait a week then start going out so as to not hurt me...

It is really hard to cope with...

So my response would be...wait at least a month...and then ask permission from your best friend in the first place...
