I know alot of people avoid thees posts about GOD and Heaven but I just want to know peoples oppions about heaven.Do you belive there is a heaven and if you do what do you think its like?

I believe that Heaven exists, just as I believe Hell exists, the only way you can die and actually GET to Heaven, is if you believe that God sent Jesus Christ, his Son, to die on the savage cross of calvery for our sins.
If you don't believe this, you will not be taken to Heaven, and Heaven is a place of glory and light (despite the fact that the is no source of light except God in Heaven), by reading the book of Revelations, I have learned that the streets are paved with gold, there is the River of Life, and the Tree of Life, which grows a different fruit every month, there is no light in Heaven, for God is the ultimate source of light, also, we can worship Him every day in Heaven, the temple that Solomon built when he was a king is aid to be in Heaven, God also prepares a mansion for all of us. Mansion is the term used for a large house in the Bible, it is aid that He makes mansions for us for when... er... I hate to say it, if we go to Heaven, not everyone goes to Heaven, sadly, they just don't accept the Holy Spirit in time. I hope I convinced some of you what happens later in life and after death.

How, may I ask, is there a river and tree of life if you are deemed dead in the natural world. After being sent to Heaven, would you not already be granted eternal life in Heaven?
that's just their names, I don't think they really have a name based on their existance in heaven, and if i souldn't try to convert people, then why are missionaries out there in China and other countries?
Well i dont think it matters wether u believe in heaven or not: It's in the Bible ( the description is too) so theres no use denying it. If u say I don't believe in gravity well that really doesn't matter, because wether or not u do there is gravity which can be proved just as much as GOD and heaven can be proved.

If God infact did exist, do you really think He would want you, or others to impose Himself and his religion upon others like that? I would certainly hope not.
In my opinion, The only reason there are people converting others is because they simply believe there is one and only one religion. They would throw out the views of others and never take a second look. When you try to convert people, you are implying that they are wrong and that their beliefs are wrong. But in fact you do not know that they are wrong, or even that you are right. They could essentially say the same things to you.

God gives us good things happening to us just as he gives bad things to happen to us.
He forgives us though, ALL THE TIME, because we sin every day and that we are all sinful beings, we don't deserve to go to heaven, or have good things happen to us, but God loves us so much, that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us, he took away all the sin of the world, but there still is sin going on in the world, because Jesus died for us, we can all go to heaven and live with God, if we just believe in Him.
Unfortunatly, and it does actually make me frightened just saying it, but if you don't believe in God, you won't go to heaven. Instead, you would go to a place of terrible suffering, and flames, and death.

If god exists then why does he allow people to have such terrible lives when they believe he is there?! God must be non-existent if he never hears any ones calls, and we should be able to have a miracle a couple times in our lives instead of having to win the 1337 lotto to get one! Tell me, with so many impoverished and poor who believe in god, how could he still be hearty enough in the new testament and not help a single soul?! God does not exist and neither does heaven. We all are just a conscious being with the ability to talk and theorize. Just because we can do that doesn't mean that we have ANY god that a ferret doesn't.

I'v read parts of the bible, and frankly, I don't think any of it is true. One thing I learned so far in college is that when using a source for an argument, reasearch paper, etc. is to make sure the source is legitimate. One way to tell is by looking for the author of that source. No author for the Bible, not going to trust it. (Although it does fit most other reasons.)

Someone in a previous post stated that the sinners go to hell. But then you say that God forgives everyone for their sins. Forgiveness is not given, but earned. As far as I can tell, we haven't earned anything.
Aparently one man dying is not enough to sway the world in ending all sin.
Well according to you, I won't be sent to, the so called, Hell, because, according to you, everyone is forgiven.
And I must ask, Why does Hell exist if everyone is forgiven and sent to Heaven?

God forgives us all the time, but we do not go to heaven on good works and not sinning.
Forgiveness is NOT earned if it's forgiveness by God, and heck exists just as heaven exists, believers go to heaven, disbelievers go to the place of eternal suffering.

Alas, He is not a man, Jesus is God's begotten Son, He is part of the Trinity, He is holy, and took away the sins of the world, He now leaves His word, the Bible, for us to learn about Him. God is so powerful, that He is greater than me, greater than you, greater than Lucifer, and He is a perfect and righteous being, His Son, Jesus came to earth as a human, that way he could die on earth and take away suffering that would soon come to everyone else, when He died on the cross, He defeated sin, death, and the Devil, but still these corrupt things haunt the earth and it's inhabitants, they cause nations to fall, war to erupt, conflicts to occur.
That is why we should believe in Him, for He wants us ALL to go to heaven with Him, another reason that hell exists is so we have a choice, He made two different places to choose from.
However, we should follow the 10 Commandments, we should follow His Word, and we should follow Him! If you had the choice between a glorious place of goodness and righteousness, or a burning deathtrap of torture that you can never escape from, what would you choose?
If the glorious paradise, then you must believe in God and believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and all Christians are brothers and sisters in Christ.
I know for a fact that you would want to go to paradise, and not the fiery abyss. When people die and they believe in God, they are immediately taken up to Heaven, where they will live forever. If you do not believe when you die, you would be immediately take down to the burning evil place.
So please, if you or any of your relatives have a Bible, you should read it, and learn about how great God is, and how to get to heaven with Him. You could also go with any friends to church, where you can learn about God and the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
If you get confused with the fact that there are three in one, then you can talk to your pastor about it, he can be trusted to tell you all about the Bible and all about God.

Well... unfortunatly, you will if you don't repent and start believing, and people in heaven do more than just pray all the time.
