E.g. I tell a friend to join, he does. I can't find him

Gee, very helpful post. Here's the thing, if you want to search for your friend, MAYBE.. and this is just a thought.. but maybe your friend can give you a URL to his profile through MSN or email??

A search function for users is unlikely for the following reasons:
--> Possible overload of the server (i.e. lots of people searching for people)
--> Spammers finding and targeting certain users
--> Do you really need it just to find ONE person!?

If I want to find a user's profile, I usually click their name or if that's not possible:
http://armorgames.com/user/[ENTERNAME]

See? Simple!

I posted this on one of the other topics...

Way 1:

If you know the exact username...or think you know, go to your profile and click up the top in the address bar.

So you should see:

http://armorgames.com/user/'your username'

If you delete your username, and type in what you think the other persons name is then press enter, you should go to their page.

This will only work if you get their username right.

Way 2:

There is an old Community search that was removed from the normal search bar.

Go to:

http://armorgames.com/search/kingryan/community

This is the old community search. To search for something you need to remove my username from in between /search/ and /community/.

For example, searching for Carlie would look like this:

http://armorgames.com/search/carlie/community

However, this is not a very good method, but you should find them eventually.

It only works if you know some or part of their name. If you do, it's better to use Google.

site:armorgames.com *keywords* Profile

Put that into Google search.

I'm actually glad this thread was revived. I've been enjoying that old community search that KR displayed.

Searching for myself brings back some great (and horrible) memories.
