Quoting a User is one of the finer qualities of AG, but it should go more in depth of that. When you quote someone, it should show the exact user that posted that message. Not really sure if this would be important in the long run, but here goes...

This would eliminate all confusion over the user that posted that message, and eliminate the minor stress over scrolling up and clicking pages to see the user that posted the message.

When this Super-Quote is being used, it would show up like this:

It would show up in clear bold to take out some confusion that the user himself would type his/her own name in and eliminate confusion that other users could've posted that same message in terms of copying or in stronger terms, spam. (laughing at his own suggestion)

will it help? yes, but I just don't think it's needed. I sort of conservative, in saying that It's their problem, not AG's.

I definitely agree, it's us "readers" don't get confused by quotes because we read. Plus why would a user get confused from a quote at all? What is the dread of someone wondering where that quote came from?

I agree with pokkley and any else who posted before me.Even though i think this idea is great it has some cons.
Necessary?Not really.Many users don't really get confused with quoting.

Best solution instead of this?Well many of you already know it and maybe has different styles of doing it.

No, the @ thing means that you are talking directly to the person in the forum.

That's why.It's another way to quote to a direct post.

Some people use the @ sign alone which isn't the best tactic, but Juan, I know what you are saying, but that is no better than putting so and so wrote...(what steevo does).

We can figure that out ourselves thank you.

Using @<name> is makes no sense if you included into the quote. It's like making someone seem they are talking to themselves.

@ just means that your talking to a single person. It's usually used when you are replying back to more than one person on the forum.

Why can't we just go
and it'll have some weird thing at the top saying;

Plokkey Said:
BLAH BLAH, blahblahblahblahblah!!!!

An @<name> makes no sense for a Total-Simple Forum like AG's, I mean, we'd all grow smarter by 20 IQ learning just that o.O.....rise of the nerds!!!

@RaptorExx (i use @ because I don't know what to quote)

Lol, misquoting me??

Some people do it anyway, but I'd rather not spend a few seconds each time I quote.

Curse me and my automatic bracket-putting way >.< I need to get off the forums for a day........

I MEANT, *glares evily at fingers to make sure they don't hit the brackets*;

-quote=plokkey- blah blah blah. -/quote-
So it'd show like this:
|Plokkey said:
|blah blah blah.

*checks for any sign of brackets like a dog looking for steak* Just checking.........
actual quote [/ quote]

Wouldn't that accomplish the same thing? Or am I missing something?
