Well,iv'e seen ALOT of newbies just posting in there own profile for points, and it's spam, and it's getting out of hand.Well is it a good idea or not?

Pros:
a.Stop a percent of spam.
b.People won't get annoying with doing it CONSTANTLY.

Cons:
a.people will get upset.
b.People will say "But thats how i say 'OFFLINE'"
Then post it in your about or tell em to look at the dot.

i think that this is not a bad idea but i think that the ppl will get upset but it is for there own good also maybe if a mod sees a spamm maybe she/he can delet it and take some points away that also might be a solution to (i am not sure though if a mod could do that)

Well, I would mostly say no to this, just because sometimes it is useful to post on your own wall. For example, I sometimes post after I have gone through to answer questions on my own profile and it helps me mark where I last left off so that I don't accidentally skip anything the next time I go in to reply. The thing is though, I always go back and delete the post that I leave, so I don't get points for them. So I think that as long as people plan on deleting the posts they leave, its ok. But when they don't, and there are a bunch of "Offline" "Online" posts piling up, yea that is totally spam.

That's the simple stuff im talking about, they don't think its spam but it truly is.And also, people that are new dont know it but posting in theyre own profiles are bad, hey, what if we make it a rule? Or maybe, you can have it to where the submit button is transparent.

If they DON'T delete it it's spam. If they DO delete it then it's alright. I barely see anyone doing this and if they do you tell them and they stop i 100% guarantee.

I post on my own Profile all the time like "Online" or "Offline" and I don't get Armor Points.

It's never a perfect world. Posting on your own profile may be bad at most times, but it can also be useful. I wish people wouldn't abuse this privilege. This could be optional, but then it wouldn't be useful at all.

As long as you delete the comments after, it's ok.

If you are posting on your profile, yes you are getting points for it. Which is why you should always delete those posts later.

I do the exact same thing - though I most often forget to delete my own comment, because I started from that and continued up... >_> I guess I should go back and clean up one of these days... *lazy* Why does people like to talk to me...
