Currently I'm reading Leichenblaesse by Simon Beckett.
Erm, the English title is (I think) Whispers of the Dead.
The main character is David Hunter. He is an expert for forensic anthropology, and well, it's a great book.
A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning.
I decided to go back and dig up all the books in this series, it certainly has been a while since I read this sad tale that has many references to literature.
