Ok, name your favorite president and why, maybe say like your favorite quote from the president.

Heres mine: Teddy Roosevelt. I love Teddy. He was a great president. He felt that he should do pollitical good for the people of america, not for his party. He was neither Republican or democrat. One of his quotes is "use a soft voice but a big stick." (dont take that the wrong way.

I could name a couple top 5s, but my favorite overall was Ulysses S. Grant, a true war general
and the only one that seemed to know what he was doing. While he was kicking booty in the east,
his other general friends were the ones getting kicked. While president, he oversaw
Reconstruction to make sure everything was moving smoothly. If it wasn't for his military skill,
the Civil War would most definitely be given to the Confederates. Sadly, he left office
because his administration was being attacked by scandals.

Also, Teddy is a high top 5 =)

"If you fellas don't quit with that yackin', I'll shut that mine down!!"

"Ok..."

Personally I love Bush. He provided endless entertainment for us Brits.

Seriously though, gotta be Clinton. He handled the economy very well. I also happen to have a soft spot for promiscuous saxophone playing men. Surviving that many scandals is an achievement in itself.

Assuming they must be American I will go for Washington because he had teeth made out of hippo teeth and because I can't think of a political reason why I liked a president. JFK is up there becase og Hicks influence on me back and to the left etc.

Oh yeah how did I forget about Bush I was racking my brains trying to think of presidents and I somehow skipped him. Bush gets 3rd just for Bill Baileys stuff on him on his Part Troll tour and for the quote:

"blink in the face of terror" (good advice)

Hey, not to be a Clinton-basher, but he had a Republican congress most of his term, and congress controls more than the president, especially when it comes to economy. Now he had to have some cooperation, obviously, but you can't credit that entirely to him.
That's why I don't generally look at the president as the face of America. He has the most power for one man, but very little power in comparison to the other branches. If they have a majority of their own party in the house, that's a different story. Just saying...

Oh yeah, Abe Lincoln because... need I say more?

Andrew Jackson is my favorite, although he's probably the most controversial US president.

âIt is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word.â he had no formal education so he couldn't spell very well

I personally think he had something to do with the assassination of him, trust me I did something called and iSearch on Lincoln.

So... iSearch is the end all, be all of sources?

I think George Washington was the best President. Why? Because he did nothing... which means he didn't mess anything up. He let Alexander Hamilton run the show. Washington just sat back and was the ceremonial head of state.

My favorite president is probably FDR. He was able to over come all the economic problems during his presidency and managed to not mess things up afterwards.

In the end, I think Lincoln. He was a master at diplomacy, a master at using executive power (and getting away with it; he suspended habeas corpus for God's sake), and he was fairly savvy at macro-military techniques.

Kennedy. Young, charismatic; not entirely wholesome.

Had great aspirations, inspired the nation, dealt with the cuban missle crisis.

I agree with this.

Parsat is also correct; Lincoln was a political genius, especially when it came to executive power. The Emancipation Proclamation is still one of the best political ploys ever thought of.
