What is so wrong with it?

Well the only people who watch it and usually talk english and are willing to say they they do so, are normally really young and are immature and obsessed about it (not saying you are one of those people)

Then there are the older people who follow it directly from japan, and they're just scary

and then there are the people who think it is ok and so follow it, but never say they do and never bring it up in fear of being put in the other two groups

I'm just saying these are the majority of people who follow anime in general, some people could follow anime and not be in any of these group though, I mean you might not be in any of them
