I like your use of hues and alternating color schemes, the eggshell background mixes quite well with this cream-colored spot on my screen.

No matter what you do, you will be better than me with 3D, since I have no experience with making 3D images.

well its not hard just like any other form just have to get started B) IM no pro either the guys on the 3d forums make my stuff look like something you would find in the dumpster...but hey if you want to try blender....if you do you should wait till 2.5 comes out they are suppose to improve it so much its gonna be like new B) its free to just like GIMP and you don't need any extra hardware...that is a tablet to model just a little practice.

GIMP 2 is your best bet.

Free and easy.

Gotta get me a good reference for the m16. Annoying how a gun I have been familiar with my whole life is giving me fits, and I can't get a good reference for the angle I want it.

Hehe, awesome art. Have you considered using any image programs like gimp, photoshop, or paint.net? Also your drawings look perfect!
