Fortunately, Mario was just flying overhead, about to eat a 1up, when a bullet bill attacked him, causing the 1up to fall into your open mouth.

Unfortunately, he landed in a dark cave with scary creatures. The cave was infested with bats and there were some wolves in it too. And hey why not, there was in ogre who slept there too.

Fortunately, he had used a fire flower before and effortlessly defeated the bats, wolves and the ogre.

Unfortunately, that was the last fire flower that was in the cave. And there has been rumors of the cave having Slenderman in it too.

Fortunately, it isn't actually Slenderman who lives in the cave, but Ric Ocasek, lead singer of The Cars.
