Hey, have you ever seen a movie that's based on a good book, but the movie has lots of bad changes? Yes, then keep reading this. I've noticed how lots of modern storybook-based movies are a lot worse than the actual book.
Remember: This is discussing about modern bad book-based movies that ALREADY EXIST. Not discussing what book WOULD suck as movies.
If you saw a bad movie based on a storybook you or anyone you know have read, write about it like this:

Title of Book/Movie
Express the main reason that made it bad. Should not be too long, about five sentences if you can.
And list some major things they changed or took out
Then list something stupid that they added (if any)
You are recommended to list three to five things to make sure everyone's comment can be read

Example:
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
They made it suck so bad. They made such a big deal about the pearls that getting the pearls is what most of the movie was about. I heard from my cousin that in the second movie "Sea of Monsters", that they're gonna take Annabeth out! If they do, they better put her in the third book (she's the reason Percy goes on the quest.)
1) Percy and friends are supposed to be 12.
2) They didn't mention The Great Prophecy is the movie at all, the one that happens when Percy turns 16
3) The gate to Camp-Half Blood is Thalia's Tree, which plays a big part in the second and third book.
4) Annabeth's supposed to be the *nice* girl that dreams of becoming an architect and has blonde hair, they made her a battle-loving tomboy!
5) He was supposed to have a major battle with Luke in the second book.

You can make as many comments as you want but, NEVER WRITE ANYTHING THAT WILL SPOIL THE BOOK. Don't want to give away any surprising details or answers to mysteries. I don't want to upset people that might read the book your commenting about some day, please. Correct punctuation and most correct usage Capital letters are strongly encouraged (ex: The movie based on "Percy Jackson" really sucked. Don't you agree?)
If you want to argue about someone's opinion, don't do it here, do it on their Profile Page.

So why are you still reading this? Comment on a movie or read someone else's comment.

Hmmm... The Cat in the Hat (the live-action remake).

Waaaay too much innuendo (for example, here). I mean it was so loosely based on the book that there was no real message. It wasn't really even trying to keep its origins as a story for kids.

I love the harry potter books and movies, however some of the things they leave out really make the movie, not suck, but not as good as it could have been.

For instance, in the movie 7 part 2, Ron and Hermiones kiss, which was anticipated from their meeting, was totally different >.>

I just made this comment so that my forum can make it back to the first Popular Media page.

Apparently (spoiler spoiler) they remade the entire ending of "I Am Legend" where in the movie the main character develops some kinda cure and dies to save some survivors (A typical Hollywood-style happy ending), but in the book he discovered that some of these vampire-ish thingies he was fighting was indeed sentient and civilized (which was only barely hinted at briefly during the movie), and to them, he was as big of a monster as he thought they were. Basically, in the movie, he was a hero and everybody was happy, but in the book there was a major plot twist revealing he was a bit of a bad guy, although unintentionally.

I've seen the movie, but I haven't read the book, I only know this because I read about it in a cracked.com article.

The movie Eragon was bad. I mean BAD. It didn't really follow the book at all. It left important characters out. Skipped important parts of the plot and generally made a mess of itself.
